Further Notes
All quotes are from my own interviews, other than those in italics. Most of my interviews were done in person during three overseas trips: September/October 2011, February/March 2013 and July 2013. Further interviews were done over Skype, by phone and email.
I have abbreviated some names to ease reading. For example, E-mu Systems Inc. is abbreviated to Emu, Sequential Circuits Inc. is abbreviated to Sequential, polyphonic synthesizer is abbreviated to polysynth, etc.
Throughout the book, Sequential is often credited, rather than specific personnel. There are various reasons for this: often the actions discussed are the result of company policy, or a group of people were involved, or the exact details as to who did what are lost in the mists of time, or the exact details are inconsequential in the telling of the story, or all of the above.
Obviously, only a selection of ex-Sequential staff were interviewed basically those I knew about and could contact. Apologies to those Ive missed; please feel free to get in touch.
