Ill tell you what I like most about Amelia Earhartshe was famous for what she accomplished, not because of the person she married or what she looked like. That stuff shouldnt matter.
Yeah, but to be honest, Amelia Earhart was most famous for something elseshe disappeared! She took off in a plane one day, and it never landed. Its probably the biggest mystery in history. Hey, that rhymes! Im a poet and I dont know it!
Its true. She vanished off the face of the earth, and nobody knows what happened to her.
Actually, I know what happened to her.
You do not.

Well, what happened, genius?
You think Im going to tell you this early in the book? Ill tell you later.

1916 Graduates from Hyde Park High School in Chicago.
19161919 Attends Ogontz School in Pennsylvania and Columbia University in New York.
1920 Takes her first flying lesson.
1921 Buys her first plane.
1922 Sets world altitude record for womenfourteen thousand feet.
1928 Becomes the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean.
1930 Sets three records in two weeks, pushing the womens world speed record up to 181 miles per hour.
1931 Gets married to George Putnam.
1932 Becomes the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic, and the first woman to receive the Distinguished Flying Cross.
