Compiled by the State Council Information Office of China, the CCCPC Party Literature Research Office and China International Publishing Group, Xi Jinping: The Governance of China is published by Foreign Languages Press in Chinese, English, French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Japanese, and distributed worldwide.
After the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, the new CPC Central Committee, with Xi Jinping as the general secretary, set off on a new journey of reform and opening up and modernization. In the course of this new start, Xi Jinping has made a series of speeches on the governance of China. Representing the concepts and principles of governance of the CPC leadership, his new ideas and assessments have answered both theoretical and practical questions about Chinas development in this new phase of the countrys history.
This book is a compilation of Xi Jinpings major works from November 15, 2012 to June 13, 2014; it comprises 79 speeches, talks, interviews, instructions and correspondence in 18 chapters. Each item is accompanied by relevant notes about Chinas social system, history and culture for readers reference. In addition the book also includes 45 photos taken at different stages of Xis life, which provide readers with more information about his work and life.
The publication of this book in various languages is of great significance. It will contribute to interpreting the concepts and principles of governance of the CPC leadership, and it will help the international community to learn more about and better understand Chinas ideas, its path of development, and its domestic and foreign policies, and its response to international concerns about China.
The book is published in ten languages, namely simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, English, French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Japanese; all are available in hardback and paperback. It is 155mm235mm in size and varies from 500 to 600 pages in different editions.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held in November 2012, the new central leadership with Xi Jinping as general secretary has led the whole Party and the people of China in confronting the problems and challenges they face: to drive reform and opening up to a deeper level, to modernize the national governance system, and to marshal their enormous strength behind the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Under the leadership of the CPC, the country is striving to build a bright future for socialism with Chinese characteristics.

China is attracting growing attention worldwide. The world wants to know what changes are in progress in China, and what impact they will have on the rest of the world.

As general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and president of the Peoples Republic of China, Xi Jinping has delivered many speeches on a broad range of issues. He has offered his thoughts, views and judgments, and answered a series of important theoretical and practical questions about the Party and the country in these changing times. His speeches embody the philosophy of the new central leadership.

To respond to rising international interest and to enhance the rest of the worlds understanding of the Chinese governments philosophy and its domestic and foreign policies, the State Council Information Office, the Party Literature Research Office of the CPC Central Committee and the China International Publishing Group have worked together to produce this book The Governance of China .

The book is a compilation of Xi Jinpings major works from November 15, 2012 to June 13, 2014. It includes speeches, talks, interviews, instructions, and correspondence. The 79 pieces are arranged in 18 chapters, and notes are added to help readers understand Chinas social system, history and culture.
