Stephen J. Cimbala is associate professor of political science at Pennsylvania State University and teaches at its Delaware County Campus. He is primarily affiliated with professional associations in international relations and defense studies. His contributions to the field of defense policy include studies on U.S. deterrence policy, conventional and nuclear strategies in European defense, command and control, strategic defense, and U.S. offensive force modernization. He was contributing editor for National Security Strategy, and his recent work has focused on war termination.
Vincent Davis is professor and Patterson chair professor at the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky. The author of numerous books and articles on national security and defense studies, he also has advised defense secretaries, including Caspar Weinberger, on organization and management of the Pentagon. For many years Davis has held leadership positions in the International Studies Association and other international studies groups. His programs at Kentucky on international business have received widespread recognition among academic scholars and business leaders, and many of his innovations in teaching, research, and public service are now considered standard operating procedures for students and colleagues.
