Alison Angleton, psychologist, is National Research and Evaluation Manager at CRS Australia. With 16 years experience working in disability management, she has held a number of roles in both management and direct service delivery. She has conducted research related to the practice and delivery of disability employment services and has interests in mental health, social inclusion and disability management relating specifically to indigenous Australians, solo parents, mature, aged and young people.
Miriam K. Baumgrtner is a research associate and doctoral candidate at the Center for Disability and Integration (CDI-HSG), University of St Gallen, Switzerland. She studied psychology at the Universities of Constance and Mannheim, Germany, and at the University of North Carolina and at Western Carolina University in the USA. She worked at GESIS (The Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, formerly ZUMA) as a research assistant for several years. As a consultant at Kenexa, she has gained practical experience in the area of employee surveys and HR management solutions.
Drte Bernhard (Dr) is a postdoctoral researcher at the National Centre for Work and Rehabilitation, Department of Medical and Health Sciences, Linkping University, Sweden. Drte holds a Diploma in Work Disability Prevention from Sherbrooke University, Canada. Her background is in rehabilitation science and adult education and she has taught and conducted research into vocational rehabilitation, disability management and return to work at Trier University (20012003) and Cologne University (20032008) in Germany.
Stephan A. Bhm (Dr), is a senior lecturer and Director of the Center for Disability and Integration (CDI-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He holds a masters degree (2003) and a PhD in business administration (2008) from the University of St Gallen. In 20082009, he served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute of Ageing at the University of Oxford, England. His research interests include diversity management, with a focus on the integration of disabled employees and the management of demographic change, as well as group-level and organizational-level processes of categorization, stereotyping and discrimination. He works as a consultant and trainer for several European companies and has gained additional practical experience working at Siemens, Deutsche Telekom and Mercer Management Consulting.
Katrien Bruyninx has a bachelor degree in occupational therapy and is a safety advisor in ergonomics. She currently works at ACT Desiron, an organization that is active in the return-to-work sector. She supports the reintegration/job retention process of individual workers, both in terms of content and procedure.
Nicholas Buys is Professor and Dean of Learning and Teaching in the Health Faculty at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia and was formerly Head of the School of Human Services and Director of the Research Centre for Human Services at Griffith. He has practised, taught and conducted research into vocational rehabilitation and disability management over a 25-year period. His professional career is in rehabilitation counselling and he has acted as an external consultant on vocational rehabilitation issues for government organizations. He was the founding editor of both the Australian Journal of Rehabilitation Counselling and the International Journal of Disability Management Research and has produced a number of publications in the area of rehabilitation. His research interests are in the areas of vocational rehabilitation, disability management, vocational evaluation, job placement and career development for people with disabilities.
