    Kristin White is an educational consultant who helps students evaluate colleges and other educational opportunities, while also helping them navigate the admissions process. Kristins educational consulting firm, Darien Academic Advisors, LLC, is based in Darien, Connecticut, but works with students from all over the United States and the world. In the last ten years, she has worked with families from nineteen different countries and twenty states. Kristin is a member of the New England Association for College Admissions Counseling and the Independent Educational Consultants Association, where she is a member of the Outreach Committee. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and has an MBA from the University of TexasAustin.

    Kristin is also the author of The Complete Guide to the Gap Year: The Best Things to Do Between High School and College, published by Jossey-Bass in 2009.
