Fields of Study: An index of fields ofhorse-related study, as well as the schools that offer majors inthose fields. If you already know what you want to study, this is agood place to start. Be sure to skim the entire list, though, assome majors fall under more than one category. Descriptions of Schools: Basicinformation on each school, including the type of school, the kindof majors and degrees offered, and a summary of costs (tuition,room, and board).
Also included is a short description of theschool or program, a description of the equestrian facilities, theratio of classroom courses to hands-on equine courses,opportunities for competition, and contact and website information.The description notes whether the school is approved or accreditedby any association or organization. Please note that whenever possible, schoolinformation has been provided by the school itself and was correctat the time that it was provided. All websites were up-to-date atthe time of publication. All tuition costs listed are correct forthe 2013-2014 school year. However, be aware that, because offluctuating exchange rates, any international tuition entrieslisted in American dollars are approximate and were correct only atthe time of publication. Most international costs were provided inforeign currencies.
Readers should also consider the issue oflanguage when researching study abroad. When the information wasprovided, I have listed whether classes are taught in English or inanother language.
