CONTENTS
This bibliography consists of annotated entries of monographs and journal articles published in English that discuss socio-economic aspects of Japanese society as well as the general and economic dynamics of United States-Japan trade relations. Emphasis is on the Japanese perspective. It does not include materials on Japanese investments or companies in the United States. Nor does it contain works on American or Japanese responses to the trade situation. The contents are selective rather than comprehensive, and the majority of materials fall within the publication period from 1970 to early 1987.
The entries are arranged in alphabetical order by author. The Japanese names are given in the Western style, with surname last, rather than in the traditional Japanese manner of surname first. All index entries refer to citation numbers.
The resources of the following institutions were used in the preparation of this work: Baruch College Library, CUNY; the East Asian and International Law libraries of Columbia University; the Japan Society Library; the MidManhattan Library; the Fogelman Library of the New School for Social Research; the New York Law School Library; the Elmer Holmes Bobst Library of New York University; and the Graduate School of Business Administration Library of New York University.
