Acknowledgments
This book came about quite by accident. I was teaching a class at the University of Calgary and students were asking about governance. When asked about women leaders in the First Nations community, I didnt have an answer. When I explored the topic I realized, to my surprise, that there was little or nothing written on this topic. This is truly an academics dream come true.
