David Silvermanis Emeritus Professor of Sociology at Goldsmiths College, London, Visiting Professor at the Management Department, Kings College, London, UK, and the Business School, University of Technology, Sydney, and Adjunct Professor, Education Faculty, Queensland University of Technology, Australia. His research interests focus on medical encounters. He is the author of many textbooks on qualitative research and runs workshops in qualitative research for PhD students and faculty in several European and Australian universities.Libby Bishop(PhD) is a Manager for Producer Relations at the UK Data Archive, University of Essex, UK. She provides support and training on data management to researchers and data producers, with specialization in consent, confidentiality, anonymization and secure access to data. She also teaches workshops on secondary analysis of qualitative data. Individually and with others, she has published on data management and qualitative secondary analysis, including a book, Managing and Sharing Research Data (Sage, 2014), and has a forthcoming article on ethical issues in using big data.Michael Bloorwas until recently a Professorial Fellow at the Seafarers International Research Centre in Cardiff Universitys School of Social Sciences, UK. His books include Keywords in Qualitative Methods (with Fiona Wood, Sage, 2006) and Focus Groups in Social Research (with Jane Frankland, Michelle Thomas and Kate Robson, Sage, 2001). He retired in 2013.Antony Bryantis currently Professor of Informatics at Leeds Beckett University, UK. His research includes investigation of the ways in which the Open Source model might be used more widely, and in particular how it can be developed as a contributory feature for the reconstructed financial sector in the wake of the economic meltdown; coining the term Mutuality 2.0 and developing the concept in various contexts. He has written extensively on research methods, being Senior Editor of The SAGE Handbook of Grounded Theory (co-edited with Kathy Charmaz, Sage, 2007). A new, companion edition is currently in the early stages of preparation. His book Grounded Theory and Grounded Theorizing is due to be published in 2016 by Oxford University Press.Marie Buscattois a Professor of Sociology at the University of Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne, France. She is a sociologist of work, of gender and of arts. She also develops epistemological reflections related to the uses of ethnography. Her recent publications in English include the special edition of Qualitative Sociology Review, 3 (3), Ethnographies of artistic work (co-edited with Howard S. Becker, 2007); the chapters Artistic practices as gendered practices: ways and reasons (in T. Zembylas (ed.) Artistic Practices, London, Routledge, 2014, 4455) and Trying to get in, getting in, staying in: the three challenges for women jazz musicians (in J. Halley and D. Sonolet (dir.) Bourdieu in Question: Recent Developments in French Sociology of Art, forthcoming).Hugh Busher(PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in Education in the School of Education, University of Leicester, UK. He has published extensively in areas of qualitative research that includes critical perspectives on people, power and culture in education-based communities, representations of students and teachers voices and identities, and hybrid learning communities.
