Anne Cooper-Chen is professor and director of the Institute for International Journalism at the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. The former head of the International Communication Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), Cooper-Chen worked in Japan for the Asahi Evening News for two years and returned to Japan as a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar to work on this book.
Miiko Kodama is professor of journalism at Musashi University, Tokyo.
