ABOUT THE AUTHOR

D r. M. Katakkar was born on 19th February 1924 in an affluent family. He retired as CEO in 1980. Being a son of an Executive Engineer and grandson of retired Deputy Collector and Diwan of the princely state of Bhor, he had ample sources for pursuing his hobbies, career and personality. A commerce graduate from the University of Poona, his lively interest in sports like cricket, tennis, billiards, horse riding and shooting won him many laurels during his college days. His deep penchant for music led him to play instruments like Harmonium, Organ, Sitar and Tabla. Being a voracious reader he was interested in subjects like religion, philosophy, psychology and mysticism. He has read Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Bertrand Russel, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, Arvind Ghosh, Upanishadas, and Swami Vivekanand.

In 1970 he developed his own system of Meditation through the study of Patanjal Yoga Sutras. From 1975 he conducted free classes in meditation and gave instructions to hundreds of people absolutely free. His special meditation on Bed-wetting, Developing Regenerative aspect in old age sleeplessness have helped people to solve their worries, problems and false fears.

Articles and Books

His first article "Biological Significance of Palmistry" appeared in 1946 which heralded the beginning of his carrier as a Palmist. He contributed several articles, the most significant being his prize winning paper on "Medical Palmistry". In 1972, his article on "Palmistry in Relation to Psychiatry" was well received by the Medical world at the 24th Annual Conference of the Indian Psychiatric Society. His research work and contribution of several articles has given him the unique status of a Medical Palmist. He is the Author of 15 books.

POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY

a. He is associated with several Astrological societies in India. He is the President of Bhalchandra Jyotividyalaya, Pune and since 1985 is an Honorary Lecturer in Palmistry and Numerology.

b. He was nominated president of Numerology at the "World Peace Conference" held in Delhi in January, 1989.

c. He was also unanimously elected as the President of the "Sixth All India Jyotish Parishad" held on 13th March, 1993 in Aurangabad.

VISITS ABROAD

During his visit to Europe, Canada and the United States in the year 1983, he was interviewed on Canadian television where he explained the nature and importance of palmistry and numerology in our daily life.

RESEARCH WORK

He has done lot of Research work in Palmistry and diseases such as Asthma, Gonadic troubles, Kidney troubles etc. He also visited Sasson Hospital in Pune and did work in venereal diseases and their significance on the palm. He has discovered that born health defects could be seen on the network of papillary Ridges spread all over the palm. The diseases described above have their own whorl like formations at certain locations on the palm. Some sicknesses are also due to psychological behaviour of the person. The psychological root cause also can been traced on the palm from various formations of crease lines on the palm. This is definitely an additional aid to medicine. He has achieved success in his research work.

He has given guidance to several people like

1. Choosing a right career for the students.
2. In family disturbances so as to join the two minds which are about to separate from each other.

Further Research Work: His Research work is going on in "Palmistry and Criminology". If he succeeds in his work, that would help the police department all over the world.

The aim of his consultations

All his consultations are given with a view to develop the will-power of the individual, to develop his personality by describing to him the virtues he has which he should develop and how he should try to overcome his weaknesses.

His main motive in doing so is to assist people in building up their career; to take them out of their nervous breakdown, to show them the light of hope in their sorrows and help them to recover from their sicknesses by finding out the root cause of their disease.
