At last! A truthful, frank and well researched look into how we, as a human race, were created from a dream of love and respect, to how we have become shackled by fear and corruption. Tell me now, of when the world was young
Introduction
There was a time when we lived completely immersed in nature, from the wind in our hair to the earth beneath our feet, in constant contact with natural forces, interacting with them in every moment of our lives. The primal mind perceived these natural forces as sentient beings infused with spirit, and these spirits were immanent within all nature. This was our reality in those times, it was the world that we lived in, and it came with a sense of belonging and a feeling of connection to all things in the world around us.
Today, modern Westernised society has now become more separated from nature than any other culture in the history of the human race. We spend our time living in artificial environments, staring at flat screens and purchasing pre-packaged food that has been mass-produced on factory farms. Meanwhile rampant capitalism and globalisation are rapidly eating up the entire planet, consuming its resources and spewing out pollution into all corners of the Earth.
So how did we get here? How did we become so separated from the natural world that gave birth to us? How did we lose our intimate connection to the Earth and to the natural forces that once surrounded us? Why do we now destroy our own planet, the very earth we stand upon? How did we become so lost?
To answer these questions we will take a journey back in time, back to our primal origins when we and the land were one. Back to the time when there was no separation, to the time when we had primal awareness, completely immersed in nature and in harmony with the rhythms of the Earth.
During our journey we will investigate, at each stage of our development, what occurred that caused us to become separated from our natural state of being, and we will discover ways to turn back the wheels of time and reconnect with our primal origins.
As the veils of deception that have blinded us for centuries are slowly lifted, a new awareness will begin to shape itself. A feeling of hope will be rekindled for our future, for our planet and for the whole human race. A return to our true source and the joy of feeling connected with the Earth once more.
We will start our journey at the very beginning, back when we experienced a total immersion in nature and a complete connection to the Earth. We will attempt to enter into the primal mind and experience the world through their senses.
To enter into the primal mind we must first enter into the world of spirits. So let us journey back there, back through long ages of time, carried on the deep resonant voice of one of our ancient wisdom-keepers. A calm, steady voice that carries our deepest ancestral knowledge
Part I
The World of Spirits
Long ago Long before my ancestors raised stones or planted corn There was a world of spirits
There were spirits in the air, spirits in the water, spirits in the earth, and spirits in the mountains.
In the time before time, great primal spirits bent and shaped the Earth.
Spirits of air assaulted the land with fierce winds, brewed up tumultuous storms of thunder and lightning.
Spirits of water formed raging rivers; carved out gaping canyons; filled immense lakes.
Earth spirits shook and shaped the land; threw up mighty mountain ranges; moved whole continents.
Spirits of fire surged deep beneath the earth; erupted from the mountain-tops in great plumes of fiery magma; formed rivers of molten rock.
All the while the Earth basked in the radiance of the all-powerful Sun who bathed the world each day in his light and radiance. The Moon too cast her glow in the darkness, while the star spirits twinkled in the great dome of the cosmos
