Introduction

The knowndefinition of an Empath is a person capable offeeling the emotions of others although they themselves are notgoing through the same situation. Yet being an Empath is so muchmore than that

Empaths are wireddifferently than most. They get overwhelmed by being around othersand are receptive to sensory stimuli. Most have powerful intuitionthat goes way beyond instinct. Many Empaths experience amazingsynchronicities. But most are unaware of just where their abilitiescan take them in life.

Being an Empath is not always easy. It is achallenging and emotional path to walk; but it can become anincredible journey once we discover how to unleash our hiddenpower. This happens when we come to understand our abilities andlearn the necessary steps to find balance. Within the 7 Secrets ofthe Sensitive I present to you these steps.

I am not too keen onlabels and believe they should only be used to help inunderstanding our traits and navigate our way through life. A labelcan dismiss our individuality. Anyone who is Sensitive is uniqueand should always bear this in mind on their journey oflife!

In 2011 I compiled a list of 30 Traits ofan Empath and posted it on my blog: theknowing1.wordpress.com, with the hope it would help the Empaths of the world understand whothey are. That article was the just the start of my journey toassist. Five years later and that same blog post has been read andshared millions of times. It has helped many Empaths recognize whothey are and understand what a rare and precious ability they have.It is my belief that once we each learn to understand it thisamazing gift will help heal the world.

When I first started my blog, I did it outof passion and a desire to serve; but I wanted to stay in thebackground and offer my insights anonymously. Over the past fiveyears my life has seen many incredible, transformative changes. They are changes that have come about by putting into practice allI have learnt on this path.

I now know it is time for me to step fromthe shadows and let the world of Empaths learn what I havediscovered, so they too can experience these amazing changes forthemselves.

I spent the majority of my adult yearsbattling with powerful emotions that have overwhelmed me. I used tothink these emotions held me back and stopped me from finding mytrue life-purpose. They didnt, they drew me towards it.

I grew up in what seemed like a low-incomefamily. We were not poor, but my parents were very prudent towardsmoney. My parents never appeared to be happy in life; they alwaysseemed to be stressed or angry, especially my father. His anger hada huge impact on me as a child, although I did not know why. Ibelieved he got angry because of money issues. (I now know it wasbecause he did not feel in control of his life.) Because of this, Igrew up believing money was the key to happiness, and I intended tomake myself some. In my mid-twenties I went about making thishappen and went into business. Taking a long-story short, I came tounderstand that money did not buy happiness or peace of mind. I amnot suggesting living in poverty brings happiness, far from it, butwhen money is the driving-force of our life there will never beenough. Living happily in abundance and being driven purely bymoney are two different things.

Before I accepted I was an Empath, I did notunderstand why I had such strong feelings when around certainpeople or places. Some people made me sad, some filled me withnegativity, some would bring out a darker-side in me, some wouldmake me feel ill and then there were some who made me feel asthough my mouth had been sewn-up. I was baffled why I had theseall-consuming emotions, when I had no reason for them. In time Idiscovered, like all Empaths do, that the majority did not belongto me. I was highly attuned to other peoples energy.

As each persons energy signature had adifferent vibration, they all seemed strange and diverse. I mustpoint out that not everyones energy was bad. Some people had themost amazing energy and were a joy to be with. But as is humannature, I focused on the negative and allowed it to overwhelmme.

If I had not experienced all I did, the pathI would have followed would be unrecognizable to the one I havetraveled. The way I felt kept me searching, looking in new placesfor the answers. When we keep searching and asking the rightquestions, we will find our answers. But it doesnt always happenovernight.

Pretending in life is what I did, a lot.Experiencing all the negative emotions made me believe I was weak.I did not want others to know this and use it against me, so I hidwhat I felt and never expressed to anyone what was going on insidemy body and mind. It may have appeared to others I was beingself-important, aloof, snobby or selfish, I wasnt. I had to staydisconnected to protect myself (although at the time I didnt knowit was what I was doing), especially from those who made me feelbad.

It took many years to discover my Sensitivenature was a rare and unique gift. I assumed everyone felt the wayI did (I thought others dealt with it better). It wasnt until Iwas in my thirties that I discovered I am an Empath and only thendid my life start to make sense.

To understand and heal myself, I have spentthe past twenty years researching. I studied everything from humananatomy to UFO phenomena. I am a qualified color and crystaltherapist, massage therapist, reflexologist, aromatherapist,Reconnective healing practitioner, and yoga teacher. I have alsospent many years doing in-depth research into diet and nutrition, and how it affects Sensitive people. My years of study andself-trials have more than paid off; restoring my health, happinessand passion for life.

It is this research that has enabled me tobring to you 7 Secrets of the Sensitive. After reading theSecrets you will know what it has taken me twenty years touncover.

By the time you have read this book you willunderstand:
