God gives me the words I write, each word a gift from Him. He gives to me this gift of writing. This book represents the opportunity to use His gift.
This is Gods blessing, my service to Him. Morning by morning, I am blessed. The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue,
to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed. The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears. I have not been rebellious.
I have not turned away. Isaiah 50:45 My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer. Psalm 45:1 My words come from an upright heart. My lips sincerely speak what I know. The Spirit of God has made me. The breath of the Almighty gives me life.
Job 33:3-4 For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Romans 11:36 CHAPTER 1
A Simple Road God knows my ways, when I rise and step out to run. Each morning, He prepares my path. I run in His light, His Spirit surrounds. He knows each step I run as I travel this road to Galilee. Because of You, I run. Because of You, I run.
It is all You. You are the reason I run this road to Galilee. How do I love Thee? I cannot count the ways. I love Thee from the breadth and depth of my soul. My spirit pours into You. I run the road to Galilee, my eyes fixed on You. I run the road to Galilee, my eyes fixed on You.
Onward I go, the fire of Your Word sustains. All through the day, let me not forget You are first in all that I do. In the quiet, there is God, hear Him speak. Even in the still of night, there is praise. May my life live Your Word. I am hungry, Lord. I am hungry, Lord.
My body churns, this hunger pains. I crave Your righteousness. Satisfy me with Your Word, for You are my bread. I will not be too busy to read Your Word. You are first on my list. I have so much I want to do.
Do not let me sit still. My prayer is powerful and effective, my words heard on high. You care to know my every prayer. Through You, I am strong, You are my strength. Give me good dreams and a sweet sleep, dreaming only of You. In the morning, I say, Hello, my good and gracious Father.
And all through the day, making sure to say, Yes, my good and gracious Father. In good days and bad days, I stay with You. I seek You in the dark, and I seek You in the light. Yearning for Your nearness, Your hand on me.
