Recalculating Marriage: GodS Direction to a Moral Marriage: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Recalculating Marriage: GodS Direction to a Moral Marriage" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

Gods original design for marriage is under attack. Activists have used the media, political correctness, and the courts to advance LGBT and same-sex marriage agendas. In 2015, the United States Supreme Court granted the right to same-sex marriage. To help redirect the immoral trends, Christians must know Gods original design for marriage and vote their conscience.

In Recalculating Marriage, author Edward W. Kaleefey explores the need for an infallible moral authority regarding marriage and related issues such as arranged marriages, celibacy, monogamy and polygamy, divorce and remarriage, and same-sex marriageKaleefey shows how same-sex marriage is neither rational, logical, nor moral. Thus, Christians should stop supporting sexual immorality, stand for sexual purity in marriage, and start reshaping societys view of marriage according to Gods will.

Recalculating Marriage emphasizes the objective, infallible authority of Gods Word, and it provides a timely and comprehensive treatment of marriage and related issues of sexuality and human relationships. Believers will be informed, challenged, and importantly, motivated to express biblically based convictions in the market place and at the ballot box.

During the past ten to fifteen years, Gods original design for marriage has come under attack. Activists have used commercial and public media, political correctness, public education, and courts to advance LGBT and same-sex marriage agendas.

For evidence of their success, one needs to look only at business policies, legislation, curricula, court decisions, and church doctrinal statements. Gods means for implementing His purposes for humankind include marriage and the familythe building blocks of society. Rather than maintaining Gods original design for marriage, Christians have become overwhelmed, complacent, confused, and sometimes silent on marriage issues. Something needs to be done.

Do Christians need a book on marriage? I believe they do for three reasons: the secular influence on sexual behavior; the express, implicit, and tacit support by Christians of immorality; and the 2015 decision by the US Supreme Court that the Constitution guarantees a right to same-sex marriage. I have written Recalculating Marriage to help Christians face the facts about marriage, review Gods revelation on marriage, and reshape societys view of marriage.

SECTION 1
FACING THE FACTS ABOUT MARRIAGE

Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, Who do people say that the Son of Man is? And they said, Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. He said to them, But who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpowe r it .

Matthew 16:1318 (NASB, italics added)

Introduction

Churches are not immune to the moral decline in American society. Recently, I learned about an informal survey of twenty-five-year-old to thirty-five-year-old members in a large Protestant church. The survey revealed that 50 percent held secular or nonbiblical views regarding homosexual practices and same-sex marriage. Shocked, I decided to do some research.
