Notice and Warning
  1. This book is about facts, things that are demonstrably true and easily verifiable by anyone with access to the internet or the Bible. It does not rely on obscure sources that are hard for the average person to verify. Consequently, it does not contain anything about Felix Manalos personal lifehis alleged moral failings or rumors of what he did when he went to the United States. Neither does this book promote any specific religion . It only examines the beliefs of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) and compares them to what the Bible actually teaches. Anyone, regardless of religion or lack thereof, can use it to determine the credibility of the INC faith.
  2. Having said #1, this book also contains my opinion about the practices and motivations of the INC and their soteriological status. As a Canadian, I have the right to express my honest views without fear of censorship or censure. For example, it is my opinion when I say, I believe that if the Iglesia Ni Cristo allowed their members to study the Bible on their own without going through the filter of their ministers; the INC wouldve returned to belief in the Trinity just as the early Seventh-day Adventists and Armstrongs Worldwide Church of God did. This is because the Unitarian belief cannot be reconciled with the New Testament Greek .
  3. INC ministers are notorious for challenging others to public debates and claim refusal by others to engage them is proof that theyre the true church. Since this book is a condemnation of the entire INC faith, any INC minister who wants to debate me needs to be their best debater and be officially recognized by their leadership as their representative. If they want to debate, I accept , but I get to choose the venue and format. It will be held online at .
  4. All the work within this book is my own and follows a systematic approach, meaning, it will provide most, if not all, biblical passages about the INC proof-texts instead of just one or two. This is to demonstrate that the INC is not just mistaken, but completely and utterly wrong , about everything it claims make it the true church. The chapter on Jesus Christ are tiny excerpts from my 1100-page, two-volume, IS JESUS GOD? The chapter on the Holy Spirit is from my book, THE HOLY SPIRIT . The academic references found in the endnotes are in the Bibliography portion of this book.
  5. I wrote this book because the INCs chronic bullying and intimidation of others offends my sensibilities. Its intent is to demonstrate the INC is a paper tigernothing to be afraid of, only pitied or ridiculed. Its one thing to believe theyre prophesied in the Bible and reject the deity of Christ; its completely unacceptable to take biblical passages out of context and string them together while demanding their members take the word of their ministers and not conduct independent studies themselves. Enforced ignorance of the Bible or anything else is shameful, but when the consequence of their ignorance means it is likely they can never be saved (if the Bible is Gods word and if Jesus is God made flesh); the INC practice becomes unforgivable. How can I trust someone whos given their brain and critical thinking skills to their minister?
  6. Its very easy for me to see the intentions of the INC leadership when they claim particular biblical passages are prophecies of Felix Manalo or the INC. Any verse that can be used, despite being out of context, is linked to other verses, also out of context, to create entirely new concepts completely foreign to the biblical writers. I am not aware of any other Christian religion that has been as blatantly dishonest as the INC. It is so flagrant and deceitful that anyone who examines the context of the passages can immediately see the dishonesty. If a Mormon were to link Gen 39:2s Joseph with Isa 44:12s Smith and claim Joseph Smiths names in the Bible, would such an action be honest, much less done by the Lords True Church? Only those trained to not question their minister would be so gullible (utu-uto).
  7. Since the INC has conditioned its members into relying on their ministers for all matters concerning religious discussion and INC ministers have a vested interest in keeping their social status and jobs with its lifelong financial benefits and their lack of transferable skills to other professions; other churches wishing to save them will need to focus their effort on the INC ministers and help them transition since they will be able to influence their congregations into converting. This needs to include financial security equal to what they were receiving as INC ministers. To help them learn new skills, 10% of the net proceeds of this book is placed in an INC Minister Transition Fund and disbursed to different Christian churches on an as needed basis. Requests for funds must go to . A form containing information about the INC minister wishing to transition needs to be completed before disbursement.
  8. The chapters on Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and other instances of Greek within this books body, are based on Nestle-Alands Novum Testamentum Graece 28th Edition (NA28), which is considered to be the most accurate New Testament of the current era. (The Westminster Leningrad Codex is used for Old Testament passages.) When there is a discrepancy between the Authorized King James (AV) and NA28, NA28 is assumed correct.
  9. The chapters on Jesus and the Holy Spirit contains tables designed to help anyone, regardless of whether they are experts on the Bible or have minimal or even no familiarity with the scriptures, understand what the passage is trying to say. Passages are broken down to the individual verse level to help those who are studying the Bible and the biblical language, to not get lost. For example:
Phil 2:6
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Nestle-Aland 28
Transliteration
hos en morph theou hyparchn ouch harpagmon hgsato to einai isa the
Literal
Who in [the] form of God subsisting not something to be grasped esteemed it to be equal with God.
Paraphrase
Despite having the same nature of God, he didnt think to forcefully cling to his equality with God.
