Many magickal rituals will be given in these lessonsfor you to practice. These should aid you in your psychic andmagickal development. However, even though thousands of peoplethroughout history have successfully shown their proficiency inmagickal techniques, quite frankly I cannot guarantee your success.This is because the ability to perform Magick successfully isdependent upon what you put into it. Many people, however, havetold me of their great successes using the traditional techniquesgiven in these pages.

The best way to use this book is to gothrough it, page by page, studying each of the ideas and practicingeach of the techniques as they come up. Some people who are Pagans,Wiccans or Witches frequently criticize those who claim to beCeremonial Magicians by saying that all they do is talk and read.They claim that "Magicians don't do much Magick." Unfortunately, Ifind myself in total agreement with them. But if you follow theinstructions on the following pages, step by step, you will be thatunique and rare individual-a practicing Ceremonial Witch.

In keeping with my own Witchcraft tradition Ihave chosen to refer to source energy or the Ultimate Divinity as"God." The use of the word God to represent the Divine keeps withmy tradition and makes the use of English easier.

The Relaxation Ritual

Welcome to Ceremonial Witchcraft

All of the stories about the powers of wizards,Witches and magicians are true! It is possible to createspells to bring yourself money, love, wisdom, contentment and more.You must understand, though, that unlike the magick in fairy talesand in movies, most real magick does not occurinstantaneously. As an example, if you worked a ritual to bring youmoney, it may take a week or two for the money to arrive. When itdoes arrive, it would come only by natural means. But, if youproperly perform your ritual, come it must!

No one can give you magical powers. You haveto earn them.There is only one way to dothis:

There are three reasons for learning the art andskills of Ceremonial Witchcraft.

Firstly, is to Know Yourself.

You will learn if you have the strength ofwill to stick to doing a ritual of this sort on a daily basis. Youwill develop a different feeling about yourself and yourrelationship to others and the world around you. It will affect youin many positive but subtle ways.

Secondly, it will expand your aura.

This will cause others to like you andrespect you more and come to you for comfort. You will realize thatthis is occurring when people start asking you questions like, "Isthat a new dress? Did you lose some weight? Did you get your haircut?" even though the dress was old, your hair is the same and youhaven't lost an ounce. Most people can subconsciously detect theaura and will be able to detect such a change in you. But they donot know that it is the aura which has changed, so they have tocome up with something that they are familiar with, something onthe physical plane such as your hair, clothes or weight. As youraura expands and brightens, you will also find yourself becomingstronger spiritually and psychologically than you have ever beenbefore.

Thirdly, the ritual Lessor Banishing Ritualof the Pentagram ((LBRP for short) will remove from your Immediatearea (banish) any unwanted influences. This includes physicalinfluences and non-physical ones including astral and elementalforces. This is one of the greatest defenses against psychic attackever. The more you practice the LBRP, the more safe, the more atpeace you will become.

I want to make something very clear to you.You must not wait until you have all of your tools to start workingon the LBRP. You should start on it as soon as you begin studyingit. I am giving you some instructions on the tools you may wish tohave so that you can start to gather them now. But, once you getinto the instruction on how to do the ritual, begin practicing itimmediately.

The only thing you need to perform the ritualis space to be alone and undisturbed. This can be obtained bylocking yourself into a bathroom if need be! And remember, the moreyou practice the ritual, the better at it you will be.

Sometimes in my classes I have had studentstell me that although they carry out the rituals with extreme care,they feel nothing within themselves (or without), as a result. Theywant to know why they are failing and what they are doingwrong.

The answer is that there is nothing wrong andthat they are not failing. The energies involved in the rituals arecontinually at work throughout the physical and spiritual universe.The energy goes around and through all things, both physical andnon-physical. It is everywhere. Ifyou did not feel the motion ofthe energy before, there is no guarantee that you will sense itafter you have begun practicing the rituals. Magick permits us toutilize these forces in ways non- magicians cannot comprehend.

It is not necessary that you have anyweird experiences or unusual sensations as a result of the practiceof the rituals in this course. If the rituals are done properly,the desired results must inevitably occur. If you throw a ball inthe air, it must come down. This is the law of gravity. If you dothe rituals properly, you must get the desired results. This is thecosmic law of magick,
