So even though I call myself the Lucky Bitch, I want you to know the truth: I havent been specially selected by the Universe. Theres nothing particularly unusual about me: I wasnt born under a lucky star, I didnt grow up wealthy, and I havent won the lottery. Im smart, but Im not a genius or anything. Im just a normal chick like you.
Yes, Ive created a multi-million-dollar business. I live a pretty chilled-out, successful life, too; and even though I teach personal development, Im not even close to being perfect (I wish!). So please dont think Im some out-of-touch guru telling you what to do.
Ive achieved some awesome results in the last couple of years, but I still had to get over my fear of not being perfect before I wrote this book. I still yell at my husband when Ive got PMS, I get a hangover after parties, and sometimes I even cheat at Scrabble. Im just an imperfect human being, with faults like anyone else.
I also want you to know that, like many people, I didnt have the most auspicious start in life. In fact, there were many occasions in my life where I was downright unlucky . Times when I was literally down to my last dollar, when I struggled with finding a fulfilling job, and when I honestly felt like the huge potential inside me was being squandered. Thats a painful feeling, right?
