What Your Bible Will Do for You If You Will Let It

No other book possesses the transforming power that is in the Bible, the Word of God.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God ( ).But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord ( ).

If you want to be a new person, knowing and obeying the will of God and becoming more like Jesus Christ, you must spend time daily yielding yourself to the transforming truths of the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit doesnt work in a vacuum but uses the Scriptures and prayer to minister in our lives.

Simply reading assigned portions of the Bible each day, as helpful as that is, isnt enough. A truly transforming experience involves meditating on what you read ( ) so you can think about them during the day. The Lord might even give you opportunities to share with others what He has taught you.
