Jennifer Rothschild has a story for you. Its about an unlikely couple, an unusual courtship, a beautiful wedding, and an illicit affair. Despite this situation, the marriage did not fail. It flourished. Here is the story of Hoseas love for Gomera woman who might have disappeared into her transgressions if not for the love of her husband. Its a beautiful illustration of the story of God and Israel.
Believe it or not, its your story too. God chose you and loves you.
If you wander off, He will find you.
If you are afraid, He will reassure you.
If you are broken, He will restore you.
If you are ashamed, He will cover you.
If you give up on Him, He will not give up on you.
No matter where you are, God sees who you are and loves you faithfully. Through the story of Hosea and Gomer, God tenderly reaches out to you and whispers, My daughter, my name and nature are love. My name makes you lovely. Because I am worthy, I make you worthy. I am here to remind you of who you are. You are never invisible to me.

I am a friend of God (John 15:15).
M y friend,
I dont want to introduce you to a religion; I want you to experience a relationship like the one thats changed my life.
When I transferred my trust from me to Christ, it became well, once and for all, with my soul. And the same can happen for you, my friend.
God loves you. He created you to know and love Him. But human beings sin, and that separates us from God. He is perfect, but were not, so we cant know Him intimately and go to heaven to be with Him when we die.
Heaven is also perfect, so only perfection can dwell there. God knew we wouldnt be perfect like Him, and still He loves us and wants us to know Him and be with Him. How can we bridge the gap? What can we do to get rid of our sin so we can be right with God?
Try hard to be good? How good is good enough?
Volunteer? How do we know if its enough?
Go to church? How often?
Keep the Ten Commandments? What if you break one?
Heres the truth. Regardless of how good you are, you arent perfect enough for heaven. There is one answer, one way to God, one remedy for your sin, one way to heaven: Jesus Christ.
About 2000 years ago, God made a way for you and me to go to heaven. He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die (to receive the wages, take the punishment, and pay the debt) for our sins.
Believe and receive. Trust that Jesus is who He says He is and that what He did on the cross is enoughHe died your death so you can live a life with God.
Ask God to forgive you for your sins, and ask Jesus to be your Savior. He will come into your life and make it well with your soul.
My friend, please consider these things. If I am wrong, I still lose nothing in the long run, for I have lived a life of deep satisfaction and meaning. But if I am right, I have gained everything, and I want the same for you.
If you want to enter into relationship with Christ, you can ask Him to be your Savior and Lord by praying a prayer like this:
Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. Thank You for loving me and dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask You into my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. Your presence in my life will truly make it well with my soul.

I t is well with my soul.
Thats been my story for years. Ive spoken those words again and again. Ive written about them. Ive even sung them. As a speaker, writer, and sometimes-singer, I seem to gravitate to this same theme whether my audience is 50 business people in a hotel conference room or 5000 women in an arena. And I really mean itit is well with my soul. These lyrics from a much-loved Protestant hymn echo the theme of my life story.
But heres the deal. The chorus demands that you boldly proclaim at the top of your lungs It is well no less than three timeswhether you feel that way or not!
I wish I could count how many times Ive stood and sung those words after speaking before an audience, only to sit right back down and feel a complete lack of wellness with my soul.
