The Cactus Cops Could Send You To Jail For 25 Years.
According to The Baltimore Sun, the state of Arizona takes its cacti very seriously. A cactus has been a majestic symbol of the West for a very long time, especially one cactus in particular. The Saguaro cactus, which is tall and spiny with many arms, stands as a great symbol of the West. This is the cactus that most would visualize when they think of the good old Wild West. Its even featured on the Arizona license plates! Arizona takes the protection of this plant very seriously, which is why you could face up to 25 years in jail for cutting one down, digging it up, or harming it in any way.
The state of Arizona even has its very own plant protectors, which are also known as the cactus cops.
They are part of the Agriculture Department, and they are armed. They patrol the desert on a daily schedule protecting the Saguaro and other protected wildlife.
The Saguaro is so protected that even if it is on your own property, you need the government's permission to move it or you could face fines and jail time.

There Is Honor In The War Of Soda.
When youre thirsty and looking for a cold, sugary drink, its likely that you grab one of two highly popular drinks: Coke or Pepsi. Both of these are huge companies, and they both bring in millions of dollars each month. They are also very big competitors. You could say that these two companies are in an ongoing war with each other to see whose drink is the best. However, when it comes to war, there is such a thing as a fair and honorable opponent.
According to The Hustle, in 2006, an employee of Coca-Cola tried to sell secrets from the company to its number one competitor, Pepsi. How did Pepsi respond to this? They told Coca-Cola that they had a leak in their company, and Coca-Cola responded by hiring an FBI agent to run an undercover operation to find the leak.
The lifeblood of Coca-Colas success relies heavily on the amount of secrecy they have. Theres a rumor that the original coke formula is kept locked away in a multi-million-dollar vault deep inside the company. Because of this extreme secrecy, only a few people were trusted with certain formulas and trade secrets.
Joya Williams was one of these people. When she sent an email to Pepsi saying that she had a lot of classified secrets to sell to them, she thought that she was going to get away with it and live the rest of her days soaking in money. That didnt happen.
When Pepsi received the email, they forwarded it to Coca-Cola themselves, who then set up an inside investigation with an FBI agent named Gerald Reichard. Williams ended up spending eight years in jail, and Pepsi came out on top as the respectable and honorable opponent in their fierce war against Coca-Cola.

Four Have Died Searching For This Treasure.
Forrest Fenn is an eccentric man with a colorful background. He was an air force veteran when he arrived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the early 1970s. He became a local legend and earned himself a reputation as a treasure hunter.
He managed to gather a large collection of ancient artifacts, which he then put into an art gallery that made him $6 million annually. He appeared to have it allthe fame, the fortune, and the reputationbut then it all came crashing down when he was diagnosed with cancer.
According to Vox, when Fenn learned that he was going to die of cancer, he put a plan in motion. He grabbed a 10-by-10-by-6-inch Romanesque chest and filled it with some of the many valuables he had accumulated over the years. He said he filled it with gold nuggets the size of chicken eggs, emeralds, pre-Columbian jewelry, diamonds, and ancient jade carvings, all of this supposedly worth $2 million. He said that he planned to drag the chest of treasure out into the Rocky Mountains and die beside it.
However, he managed to beat his cancer and left the treasure chest to gather dust in his study.
In 2010, he decided that he wanted to leave a legacy behind for himself.
He took the treasure chest and hid it somewhere up in the Rocky Mountains and then he released a memoir called The Thrill of the Chase, in which there is a poem explaining the location of the treasure. Four people have died searching for Forrest Fenns treasure, and to this day, it has not been found.

Jack Daniels Died From A Broken Toe.
I bet you never thought that you could die from stubbing your toe. While its not really possible to die of a broken toe today, it was very possible back in 1911 when Jack Daniels (the founder of the famous whiskey) died. Daniels is a very famous figure all over the world, and almost everyone has heard of or drunk his whiskey. Even so, I bet there are very few people who know how he died.
According to Offbeat Tennessee, Daniels arrived at his office early one morning and attempted to open his safe. Back then, safes were big, heavy, and made of ironnot something you want to kick. Daniels did kick his safe, however, out of frustration from forgetting his combination and not being able to open it. By kicking the safe, Daniels broke his toe. He never went to see a doctor about his broken toe and allowed it to sit and fester.
