Preface
This book started as basic research into paranormal phenomena such as UFOs, Bigfoot, and Mothman. I did not know what these phenomena were exactly, but I believed that they had some basis in reality. Even as a youth, I always wondered about the veracity of myths such as of dragons. Go to an art museum and you will probably see some old paintings with dragons in them. I wondered: how can such a pervasive myth have no historicity? I dont believe that entirely fictional characters would carry any salience or relevance to our ancestors; therefore, I suspected that indeed there must be an actual root to these stories. Furthermore, it must be asked: can we as humans actually create or imagine something entirely new? Or can we just rearrange, hybridize, and recombine preexisting cosmic elements? For example, the mythical unicorn contains no truly novel components.
In addition to the paranormal, I also studied psychology, economics, politics, religion and history. Significantly, throughout these diverse subjects, I noticed recurring themes, symbols, and myths across time and culture. I later understood that everything could be grouped under the term Hermetic Philosophy . This book attempts to describe in real terms just what Hermetic Philosophy is and what the drivers behind it are. Specifically, Hermetic refers to Hermes Trismegistus and the philosophy that he espoused, which is also the basis for many subsequent occult derivatives. But, in a broad sense, Hermetic Philosophy encompasses any doctrine that is esoteric, hidden, and abstruse. It is difficult to summate the following research into a single term but Hermetic Philosophy seemed as fair as any. Above all this work seeks to provide context for who we are as humans: where we came from, where we are going, and why society is arranged how it is. By studying, analyzing, and synthesizing various myths, parables, and symbols a tenable and tentative exegesis is offered, which is of course only a starting point, a humble attempt to unravel lifes mysteries.
As stated, this research covered a broad spectrum of subjects, which caused difficulty in determining which material was relevant enough for inclusion, and which material would distract from the central theme. However, with time, this work took shape and became less nebulous, although remains unavoidably recondite. Some of the research and writing for this work actually began as far back as the year 2004, however much of the manuscript was written in 2012. The research was difficult to organize and collate in a cogent and lucid way, causing delays and much deliberating, but after many years respite, this work is now edited, updated, expounded, and assembled in a coherent and cohesive manner that will hopefully inform, invigorate, and resonate with the reader.
As an aside, personally I have been battling Huntingtons disease for about as long as Ive been working on this book, thus the two have become inextricably linked. Perhaps, my own personal sense of doom has jaded my outlook, causing it to be more dire than most; though on the other hand, perhaps someone whose time is short and has little attachment here is better suited to offer an honest assessment of our world and time. I simply seek to write honestly, share my thoughts, and champion the Good .
It should be noted that all Biblical scriptures, unless otherwise stated, are taken from the King James Version of 1611. Although some of the newer translations are easier to read, this author feels that the King James Version (hereafter: KJV) is a faithful representation of the true original meaning and intent of the scriptures. When another translation is quoted, this author will use the World English Bible (WEB) which like the KJV is not copyrighted, thus can be reproduced as needed.
This author attempts to remain objective in analysis and allow the reader to draw their own conclusions; however, it should be noted that the author is a Christian and the end synthesis will be approached from this viewpoint. The reader is welcome to agree wholly, partly, or not at all with my synthesis, but the prior analysis provided in this book is of independent worth and use. In the end, this book invites the reader to evaluate the data and to draw their own conclusions. Surely, as we humans grow and age and have so little time to play on this earth, the timeless and transcendental themes and questions touched on in these pages will remain, for all generations to follow, at least until the end of the age.

Introduction
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the occult, the paranormal, conspiracy theories, and prophecies. People are growing more curious and sense in their gut that there is more to this world than they were taught. They have questions, but no answers, and no guidance to find them. Although many question the status quo secretly, few are willing to publicly; however, this tide appears to be turning. It used to be that anyone who believed in extraterrestrials was labeled a nut or crazy, but now, suddenly, it has become much more mainstream and acceptable to consider such a possibility. Television shows and various Hollywood movies have stirred the imaginations of millions, but this has only produced confusion about what is the truth.
A revelation of alien life would profoundly challenge the existing theologies of the current mainstream religions. This clear and present danger to the Christian Church may not be fully appreciated yet. It is important for church leaders to currently address and understand such esoteric issues as extraterrestrial life. Unknown to many, there is already an answer to the nature of aliens within the existing Judeo-Christian religious tradition and texts. This book, Hermetic Philosophy , plainly unveils this hidden dogma. A very small number of Christians fully understand these obscure concepts, as such the Christian Church has largely left its flock on their own and refuses to shepherd them through these difficult issues. This lack of foresight and study may cause many to be deceived at a future date. It is important for everyone to understand the times in which we live. But churches, continually fearing the loss of their tax-exempt status, rarely have the backbone and gumption to tackle such esoteric and controversial issues as magic, aliens, demons, etc. This policy of ignoring or scoffing at such issues will create little growth in the flock intellectually, spiritually, or numerically.
And so, one major aim of this book is to offer possible answers to some of the hard questions pondered by many, but answered by few due to ignorance or fear of ridicule. In part, this book is a study of various forms of magic and their impact and influence on society in both the present-day and the past. Alongside this magic there is a complex belief system and array of esoteric knowledge which may hold some clues to our true history and environment. Much of this world is not exactly as it seems. This book will explore such misunderstood and veiled concepts thereby revealing the true identity of the now ubiquitous aliens, as well as marrying it all to end times Christian eschatology.
