Similarly, failure to comply with this statutory requirement placed the book in the public domain.

Preface

Of the making of many books there is no end, is a prophecy that is continually fulfilling. There are other prophecies that are also being fulfilled which may be termed present truth.

The Bible is like no other book in one particular at least; it always has something new.

Once the world was new; man was new; the flood was new; the first advent of Jesus was new; Pentecost was new; and now comes stirring events which are new, yet are clearly stated in Gods Word.

Here is a book recording some of these events which are of tremendous import to Anglo-Saxons and their neighbors, yea, and to all the world.

All readers should accept this work as providential. It is not gotten up for wealth, fame or any earthly reward, but with a sincere desire to call the peoples attention to the things that are coming on-the earth and the powers of Heaven shall be shaken.

While praying for the institution from which this book emanates, not many months ago, we saw in the heavens above it a vast lake of fresh water about to overflow, containing enough to satisfy every thirsty soul. A mighty Pentecost followed, evidenced by the speaking in tongues. This resulted in a great wave of spiritual awakening, large numbers were revived, saved and many healed. Now comes this book, which we hope will be used by our Lord to satisfy many souls who are thirsting for this knowledge.

This work is born of days of labor and nights of toil, coupled with great sacrifice on the part of the author and his patient assistants, freely giving their time for your sake.

We trust you will return thanks to the Father of our Lord Jesus, who by the Holy Ghost enabled the author to write this book. Read, mark and digest the contents then make an effort to help distribute it.

Freely ye have received, freely give; that all may be forewarned, therefore forearmed, because the time is short and "the Kings business requires haste.

Fraternally yours in Christian love,

Capt. L. H. Tuttle (Deceased).

Authors Preface To Second Edition

Since writing this book, and putting out the first edition eight years ago, the Apostolic Faith Movement has circled the globe; so that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the accompanying evidence of speaking in other tongues and the coordinate gifts of healing the sick and casting out of devils in Jesus name, together with the warning message of the downfall of the present so-called Christian civilization and soon coming of the Lord, until all nations have received this witness. Many multiplied thousands have not only heard the old time gospel of saving grace, but have witnessed a return in a great measure to the apostolic faith, and have received healing as the early church received it. Many have received sanctification, some the entire sanctification of body, soul and spirit, as in 1 Thes. 5:23. numbers have received the anointing and sealing of that Holy Spirit of Promise.

Great, therefore, is my joy that I have not run in vain neither labored in vain.

Nevertheless there is much to be regretted; especially because of the imperfect consecration to God, many have yielded themselves up for the spiritual influences merely, lusting and craving after signs and wonders, Seeking a Sign From Heaven, and have become possessed by demon spirits, (large numbers of which are transformed into angels of light), and have become excited and deceived by them, rushing madly into religious bigotry and zeal, without knowledge, known as wildfire, fanaticism and hypnotism.

From this same prolific source of error, remnants of dead creeds and worn out doctrines of men that have deluged the people from the beginning of the dark ages until now, have been dragged into this movement and made to receive the stamp, Apostolic.

Eminent men who have been converted from their creed bound, earth-born religious organizations have been instrumental in this. The preaching of the native immortality of the soul instead of immortality through Christ alone, as clearly set forth in the Scriptures, unbalances the scales of Gods justice, in distributing rewards and punishmentsnot prolonging the punishment of each sinner proportionately to his guilt nor varying the rewards in the resurrection (one star differing from another in glory) according to the devotion and service of the children of God.

The redemption of the body for which we who are in this tabernacle do groan, has been glossed over and neglected almost to rejection entirely. All distinction between the Church, the Bride, and the Man-Child, has been done away and a very vague and dismal eschatology has been preached as the full gospel.

This condition should not subsist. The fact that the ten lost tribes of Israel constitute the present cultured world ruling Protestant nations should be brought from under cover in order that the Scriptures bearing on Jacobs trouble and the ten-toed, ten-horned, ten-kinged powers might be understood and preparations made.

In case God sees fit to enable me to get out a new volume I shall make slight changes in some parts of the book, but for the lack of means I am compelled in this second edition to use the old plates just as they are trusting God to bless it as it is and over-rule all mistakes.
