FOREWORD

I n the early 1980s, the Lord invited my husband and I to leave our secular places of employment and follow Him into missionary work that included a life of trusting Him for supernatural provision with no visible means of financial support. He made it clear in that season that we were to inform no one of our needs but to go only to Him for help (to this very day we do not inform people of our personal needs).

When He issued the invitation, I was actually full of extreme faith and excitement. We were eager to step into this new season and had great expectation for the abundant life promised in scripture, believing it would manifest on a daily basis. We had heard many firsthand testimonies regarding sovereign, supernatural provision from friends and missionary acquaintances. We had also carefully and diligently studied the Bible from Genesis through to Revelation and embraced every beautiful promise of Gods abundant supply that would meet our every need. Nowhere in the Word did we find any indication of God refusing to provide for those He loved and who walked according to His purposes. We clearly saw that it was Gods will for His people to prosper with overflow in every area of our lives. We were completely confident that as we obeyed God, He would supernaturally supply. Joyful expectation filled our hearts and we stepped out to obey His invitation.

Very soon into this new season, we came to realize that the release of the miracle provision we were believing for failed to manifest without a strong fight of faith. For five years, we fought that fight daily while being faithful and diligent to fulfill all the instruction in the Word regarding provision. We never missed a tithe, we gave offerings, we were faithful stewards, and walked in wisdom. We did not use credit cards or incur debt and we lived humbly. However, there were some very difficult challenges where some days we even lacked food for our household (although food always showed up before we bedded down each night). As challenging as the season was, we knew we had no other option but to obey Godwe had no Plan B. Every day we decreed the Word, and yet the word seemed to fall to the ground unfulfilled.

We remained in the faithful, grueling battle for five long years, and then one day, in a moment, everything broke for us. As a shift took place in the spirit, a realm of abundance was opened up that we are enjoying to this very day. Decades later we remain established in Gods realms of riches and wealth. He truly came to give us all an abundant life.

After reading Robert Hendersons book, Unlocking Wealth from the Courts of Heaven, I am convinced that if we had understood the powerful insights contained in this book back in the beginning of our journey, our battle would not have been so long and grueling.

I often meet wonderful, precious believers who struggle terribly with lack and poverty. They are faithful to God to obey His Word yet fail to secure their breakthrough. We know for sure that this oppression and struggle is not Gods will for them and therefore there must be an answer! I believe that important keys to help finally burst through walls of resistance are found in Unlocking Wealth from the Courts of Heaven. This book is not only built on solid scripture foundations but is loaded with the faith-building testimonies of many who have experienced breakthrough.

C HAPTER 1

WEALTH: GODS MANDATE

A s I have progressed in my function in the Courts of Heaven, I have discovered that most all aspects of life can be addressed from this realm. I believe that the devil, our archenemy, uses legal issues in the spirit world to resist our obtaining all that Jesus died for us to have. This includes prosperity, wealth, and riches. First Peter 5:8 is clear that Satan uses legal arguments against us to devour and steal away what is rightfully ours on all levels.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

The word adversary is the Greek word antidikos. It means one who brings a lawsuit or is a legal opponent. Satans efforts to devour us always have a legal right he claims to have discovered attached to them. He is walking about looking for any rights he can gain to seek to devour, destroy, or at least limit what we can have. Walking about implies his searching for anything legal that would grant him the right to consume and devour. Furthermore, the word antidikos comes from two words, anti and dikos. Anti means instead of or against. Dikos means rights. So the purpose behind Satans legal attempts against us it to deny us what is rightfully ours! In other words, Satan uses legal issues against us to deny us what Jesus death, burial, resurrection, and ascension gained for us. This is why in spite of Jesus work on our behalf people still die prematurely, experience calamity, see families destroyed, and other traumatic things occur. This definitely is true when it comes to us prospering as Gods people. Prosperity, riches, and wealth are a part of our covenant rights and expectations. We are told that when Jesus died on the cross, He became poor that we might be rich. This is seen in Second Corinthians 8:9.
