I NTRODUCTION

W HEN I wrote Operating in the Courts of Heaven: Granting God the Legal Rights to Fulfill His Passion and Answer Our Prayers, I was astonished at the immediate response I received. I knew these principles had radically touched my life and the life of my family. I found however that people all over the world were looking for answers that other ideas had not brought them. There was something about this teaching that grabbed people and gave them hope. There were people who still practiced the idea of prayer but with little or even no results. However, because they were faithful people, they were praying and doing the best they could. They were tired, weary, and greatly frustrated, but still praying nonetheless. As these people heard the idea that there was a judicial concept to prayer, it seemed to leap in their spirits. When I would begin to teach in different settings, people would tell me, This makes perfect sense. I know this is correct; I can feel it in my spirit plus youre proving it from the Word of God. These people began immediately to apply these principles, with great numbers getting results they hadnt gotten in years. Everything from loved ones coming home who had not been seen or heard from for years, to people actually being raised from the dead as the Courts of Heaven were appealed to. We received testimony of this from Africa and even one occasion in the United States. There has been and continues to be a consistent stream of testimonies of those who have received their breakthrough.

There was another group also who had just simply given up on praying. They had tried it and hadnt seen any results. It was no longer worth the effort for them. This particular spectrum of people also were stirred. They saw hope in this teaching. They began to apply the idea with many getting the results they had given up on previously. I remember one man writing me a letter and thanking me for writing the book. He shared that his son was in jail and this book had gotten into his hands and those of his fellow inmates. They began to apply the principles and appeal to the Courts of Heaven. Many were being released early and finding mercy in the natural court system. They attributed this to the Courts of Heaven having ruled on their behalf and manifesting through the natural realm. These were people who were without hope yet saw the hand of God move on their behalf. They discovered that God as Judge is more merciful than humans are. This is what David discovered and understood. When God gave him the liberty of choosing the judgment in Second Samuel 24:13-14 as a result of his foolish sin of numbering Israel, he chose to fall into Gods hand as Judge and not mans.

So Gad came to David and told him; and he said to him, Shall seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or shall you flee three months before your enemies, while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days plague in your land? Now consider and see what answer I should take back to Him who sent me.

And David said to Gad, I am in great distress. Please let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.

David knew that he would get mercies from God that man would never give to him. He chose the judgment of God over the judgment of men. This is what the prisoners did. They appealed to the God of all mercies who desires mercy and not sacrifice. The result was early releases and lighter sentences. The Lord is using these principles to manifest His kindness and love and restore hope to the hopeless.

I also discovered that many influential people heard the principles, read the book, and saw breakthrough in their lives and families. It doesnt matter who we are, or the status someone might hold in a culture or society, we all have needs. Needs can make us all cry out to God. I was told of one famous Christian leader whose daughter had been a part of the ministry, then rebelled, left, and ran away. The leader took the principles of the book, dealt with the legal rights the devil was claiming, and saw the daughter return, repentant and broken before the Lord. Restoration was set in place and a family and ministry were healed as a result. I personally have had the privilege of praying with many high-profile leaders about situations in their home or ministry. We have seen breakthroughs and remedies come to these places. In most of these, they had been crying to God for years. The immediate answers they received were amazing and caused these leaders to thank and adore God for His goodness.

I too have continued to apply these concepts. There are now many books that I have written on the subject. I discovered that the Courts of Heaven can be applied in almost any situation. Therefore, there are books dealing with destiny, prayer, declarations, healing, finances, crises, and other areas, with still many more in the works. All these are issues we can bring into the Courts of Heaven and petition the Lord for decisions on our behalf. As I have practiced the principles, I have continued to mature and grow in the execution of them. I have sought to simplify the whole idea. As the idea began to be embraced, others started teaching it. This has been fine, except where unbiblical ideas have been espoused. For instance, someone was convinced that it was possible to go before the Courts of Heaven and get someone out of hell. I had to tell them this was an impossibility. The scripture is clear in Hebrews 9:27.
