One day, Mindfulness will be taught in schools. In the meantime, feel the benefits of this refreshing and realistic book as Soul Soothers supports you through your busy day!

CATHERINEG LUCAS, Mindfulness coach and author of In Case of Spiritual Emergency

Soul Soothers is a perfect companion for anyone looking to incorporate meditation into their overstressed lives. This book makes it easy, effortless, and time efficient, without skimping on depth. It delivers no matter how challenging the journey. At no time do you feel the soul more keenly than when going through an emotional turmoil. This book helps you to bring spiritual energy directly to the source, showing you how to easily sooth your inner core in a process of healing and renewal.

SUSAN ANDERSON, author of Journey from Abandonment to Healing

This book is a shining example of how simple tools can transform our complex and sometimes chaotic lives. We are introduced to the paradoxical idea that meditative activities, rather than diminish our time and energy, can actually enhance our ability to achieve our personal goals by providing us with calmness, clarity, and understanding. By providing us with a recipe for taking breaks from the overwhelming din of excitement the world provides with its requisite exhaustion of our bodies and our senses, Soul Soothers shows us how to rediscover a timeless moment of peace. This sense of peace allows us to regain our emotional balance and broaden our perspective of situations, which can assist us in achieving our life goals. One of my favorite meditations is the twenty-second meditation: who among us does not have 20-seconds of time to invest in their own personal wellbeing?

LESLEY TEITELBAUM, Ph.D. Adjunct Lecturer SUNY Cortland. Get S.M.A.R.T. (Stress Reduction and Relaxation Training) Seminars

In Soul Soothers Ms. Griffith has designed a program for a regular meditation practice that can be applied in our busy world today, one that is simple and can be modified for any and all schedules, from a young mother with small children to a professional with appointments and daily hassles. A daily meditation routine has clear benefits for everyone, but not everyone can set aside a 30 minute block of time each day to meditate. Soul Soothers shows us how to apply the wisdom and applications of such a daily meditation routine into our busy lives. Ms. Griffith takes that 30 minute block of time and breaks it down into manageable pieces, just a few minutes at a time, using normal daily events like waiting in line or sitting in a restaurant waiting for a friend who is routinely late, to breath and relax, to go within and connect. Gradually, over a whole day, using these sorts of normal events as a motivation to meditate, you accumulate the 30 minutes, and experience all the benefits of a 30 minute meditation.

S oul Soothers: Mini Meditations for Busy Lives came from my students over the last twenty years asking for a way to bring peace, calm, mindfulness, and spiritual growth into their lives without sacrificing family, job, and all the responsibilities life piles up on them. So first, I must thank my students.

I would never have seen myself as an author if Pam Liflander had not seen my potential over 12 years ago. Thank you Pam for all your support and assistance, it has been a long road. I was lucky enough to have met Sabine, Thierry, Gail, and the rest of the amazing Findhorn Press group through their publishing of Davids and my book, Voyage of Purpose. They have been so supportive of my vision for Soul Soothers, put up with me asking a million questions, making a dozen suggestions, and always making me feel they value my thoughts. David and I hope someday to get to Findhorn and meet you all in person.

When I wasnt sure how to word something or the proper way to punctuate, Pax Vlietstra was always an email away. So when you read something particularly well worded, it might very well be Paxs words, not mine. Erin Clermont took my rough manuscript, and through her wonderful editing, helped me sound like a grown up writer, teaching me to eliminate the word that from my vocabulary. I also want to thank my nephew, Jon Hansen who helped with my vibrational theory to make sure my wave diagrams were right.

I would never have gotten Soul Soothers written if it wasnt for Creekside Books and Caf in my hometown of Skaneateles NY. Thank you Erika, and the rest of the group, for bearing with me as we finally figured out the perfect way to prepare my decaf ice tea and for letting me sit there for hours and hours, day after day!

My Mother, Mary-Gray Griffith, once gave all us girls a little pamphlet with her words of wisdom. Most were common sense motherly things like Use moisturizer every day. Yet one thing she said always stayed with me: Just believe in something. With those four words, my mother gave me permission to be free of the limitations of my society, my peers, and even my religious upbringing. Those four words allowed me to believe in my path and myself. My mother has always supported me 100% in anything that I have attempted (I remember when first starting as a psychic, she bought a silk pouch for my Tarot Cards). Words cannot express how much her support has meant to me over the years. Thank you, Mother and my whole family for all the encouragement you have offered David and me as we embark on our literary adventures.

My friends have listened to me go on and on about this book, reassuring me when I felt overwhelmed, so thank you Kiki, Anne, and Lesley. Most of all, I want to thank my husband, David Bennett. Thank you for being a strong, steady pillar as I whirled around you like a crazy person. You have no idea how much you inspire me everyday to be the best person I can. Thank you for doing all the quotes for Soul Soothers, being my technology guru, and for being my best friend. I love you deeply.

Finally, thank you all for taking the time out of your busy life to read Soul Soothers. I hope you come to see the potential you all have to become positive and empowering individuals who can truly make a difference in this world by raising your vibration and sharing your light, and please, always believe in something.

Thank you,

Cindy Griffith-Bennett
