Hug somebody, love somebodywho knows, it may be the only hug that person gets today. Laugh out loud, live passionately, but most importantly, live on purpose!

M y Points of Power are meant to encourage, uplift, and provide comfort. Trying to comprehend Gods power and Gods grace can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. Just how powerful God is was made clear to me through meditation. I thought of ways to best harness Gods powerthe power the Holy Spirit gives to us. As I studied Gods Word, I began to gather different points that helped me understand how I could live my life based on Gods power and grace. I often reflected on words like faith, love, and forgiveness. As I continued to pray and meditate, words like confession, praise, confidence, prayer, peace, protection, and victory were revealed to me. Those words led to the formulation of my ten Points of Power.

My Points of Power have become a benchmark for my syndicated radio show, The Yolanda Adams Morning Show. Twice every morning, I encourage and inspire my listeners with an uplifting discussion of the Word of God. I have received so many requests for CDs and books containing the information presented in my daily radio study, Points of Power, that I was compelled to make this information available for all to access daily. My prayer is that this book will be a great resource to you, that these chapters will help you to hold on and gain strength to persevere.

God has a plan that includes your success and happiness. God is moved by your faith. Since faith pleases God, allow these Points of Power to increase your faith. Whenever you feel the need, revisit the chapters that most encourage you! Remember: you have benefits and privileges as a child of God, so dont settle for mediocrity. You do have the power to change your life, your attitude, and your outlook.

In writing this book, I had so much available material that I had to choose my contents carefully. This is a very concise summary. Ladies and gentlemen, here are your Points of Power.

I never dreamed of leaving the school system, she told the Billboard audience, and when I did it was a huge step, but Im so glad I took that step on faith. Now, my faith is to the point where its like, Give me a diving board over a pool with no water, and watch me jump.

It is a foundation of trust in God at work in my life.

L ife is beautiful. I remind myself of this fact every day. Im optimistic. I dont complain because I live an amazing life. I live a life of expectation. I expect to be happy. I expect to be successful. I expect to make someone smile. But more than anything, I expect Gods best for my life. I thank God for all I have every day.

Can you think of any times youve found yourself in a bad situation because you didnt exercise your faith in God? There certainly have been times in my life when I have moved ahead of God, only to wind up doing things Gods way in the end.

I dont spend as much time asking God Why? as I once did. If I find myself in a challenging situation, my first inclination is to believe God. Knowing the Word of God is imperative! Every promise is God-breathed. Every promise removes doubt. Every promise builds faith. The Lord knows your destiny and knows your ability to reach your destination. With the support of a continually merciful God, you can move faithfully ahead no matter what you face.

I am the happiest person on earth when I totally rely on God. Jesus tells us to have faith! For with faith, you have to wait on and trust in Gods best for you.

The life God has prepared for us is so much better than our highest dreams. Just look at my life: I started off simply singing in a choir and spending my weekdays as a teacher. Then one day, God told me to quit. I stepped out in faith, left the classroom, and pursued my dreams. My music career is much more than I expected; I host a radio show and travel the world singing. Through my music, I am able to help strangers, friends, and family. God has shown me clearly in my life what He is willing to show you in yours: you never have to worry about reaching your destiny, because its assured by your faith in God.
