Review (continued from back cover)
The Book of Revelation has far too long been treated as a strange and foreboding book filled with dire prophecy. Mrs. Flood declares that the great book is prophesying but not in the sense that such and such a war shall come to pass in this year or that... that depressions and desolation will occur in this or that time. Rather, she tells us, it is saying in every chapter and verse that the calamity in your mind, the depression in your soul, the war in your spirit must express in your life and in your world as physical, mental and spiritual desolation.
This interpretation holds that the allegorical writings of the original have been set down in code, so to speak, not to hide from us but to preserve for us the Eternal Truths which man so carelessly overlooks. The great original, she states, says over and over that there is only One Power in the universe and that each one uses that power constantly and inevitably; how one uses it, and for what purpose, will decide his failure or success, his discontent or happiness.
I find this a book well worth reading, pondering and studying in all humility. There is an amazing truth herein revealed, a truth which can lead to the discovery of the True Self, can lead to a better philosophy of life, and that fuller, more joyous and abundant life for which all mankind seeks.

Introduction to the New Edition
COMING ACROSS Revelations on The Book of Revelation by Winifred MacCardell Flood has been one of the great miracles in my life. It had been in my late husbands library unnoticed by me for decades, had been moved various times across New York City and twice across the ocean. Every time I had been the packer, unconscious of its presence. When it found meand I have to word it this way for I was not looking for itI was living in Virginia Beach at Community House, a house for spiritual teaching and healing, which together with a circle of friends I had founded in 1989. I have no explanation other than that divine providence caused me to climb on that chair in front of the bookshelf one day in 1994 and reach for just this book. I dont remember searching for anything in particular or pondering any deep questions that day. Butalmost witnessing this as a bystanderI felt myself reach up, draw this worn, thin little book out from the row of others, and step off the chair somewhat dumbfounded. When I opened the book and began to read, I knew I had been handed a great gift. I sat down and read and read for hours, again and again taking my eyes off the book to ponder what I had read and heard through the words. My heart was deeply touched as hardly ever before.
I had been exposed to Christian teaching all through my childhood as I was raised in a Christian family and community. My parents were both strong believers andwhat I considered a real blessingthey loved God and Jesus with all their heart. I know this from the reading, singing, and prayers that I as a child of seven experienced in our family every day at all meals and also at bedtime. Whenever we encountered problems they were dealt with in the presence of God, in prayer and guidance that made Him the Source of all Good. Grace as the source of our experiencing healthy lives was undisputed and so was the need to express gratitude at all times. Of course, our Christian Life also had its drawbacks for us growing up. There were rules and interpretations of the Word at times worse than Paul could have given them during his severest struggles and most narrow-mindedness. For example, at seven years old I was not allowed to join a childrens athletics course (an ungodly place to go), and for the same reason none of us was allowed to learn to dance.
Being a Bible reader since childhood, the book of Revelation has heldas for most people probablyan intriguing fascination for me. But I did not understand its doomsday prophecy. It was difficult for me to comprehend that an all-loving and generous God would give such to mankind. My God was different, I decided. So, as a young adult, I began to struggle with church teaching and interpretation, mistrusted the Words interpretation by theologians and laypeople alike, whom I saw as not living according to their proclamations, talking of Love and an all-giving Father, but acting on fear and desire for self-preservation. Despite my struggle with the Christian establishment, I maintained my love for God, and Jesus continued to be the Special Presence in my life. However, I also became an avid searcher and student of the teachings of Truth in a wide spectrum of philosophy and thereby became also acquainted with the teachings of other world religions. I am deeply grateful for my path and the many opportunities that I encountered. For I understand today that all religions are resting in the covenant of God with man and that all paths are leading to the One. I have become aware that Jesus did not come to create a religion (and definitely not the many forms of churches that have developed since), but to lead us beyond it and through the door.
Years prior to my finding the book Revelations on The Book of Revelation by MacCardell Flood, I came across some very interesting readings given by Edgar Cayce, the American clairvoyant, on various spiritual subjects among which were the Life of Jesus and the Book of Revelation. My heart rejoiced for I had come across profound wisdomall that had seemed so puzzling now suddenly made sense. What struck me most was the impact this prophecy and guidance had on my personal life! It was as though shades were taken off my eyes and vision was restored, a vision in which the heart felt totally at home. So perhaps this, too, had prepared me in a way for opening this Book by Winifred MacCardell Flood.
If Revelations on The Book of Revelation fell into your hands, you can rest assured it is by providence. You probably are gifted with a seekers open mind and aware that Gods revelation has never been limited to certain centuries or certain religious avenues. But it has been an ongoing activity of His Holy Spirit offered in the continuous Grace to those willing to seek and find, ask and listen. It is by that same Grace that the senses of our heart are awakened and enabled to perceive Truth and also recognize the unconditional Love with which it comes. Therefore, I have nothing to add to the brief Foreword by Winifred MacCardell Flood. It says it all. And to interpret or discourse on the content of the book itself seems to be a trespass, which I feel not invited to do.
Revelations on The Book of Revelation has been out of print for years, and, as far as I was able to ascertain, cannot be found any longer in any bookstore. This fact and my deep gratitude for the living food this book contains have created a strong desire in me to re-publish it and make it available again to those hungry for deeper understanding and to those, perhaps even hungrier, for becoming whole and healed. May it serve the purpose that all Teachings of Truth have served through the ages to lead you back home.
