Foreword
T HE TITLE SAYS IT ALL , The Infinite Mindfield! As a human species, we can no longer see ourselves contained in a cumbersome, gravity-accumulator we call a body. The Mindfield reveals itself in many forms, and Anthony Peakes exploration effectively shines a light into the shadows and utilizes two of humanitys most historically conflicting modalities, science and spirituality, to address some of the biggest questions of our time. The convergence of these modes of knowing seems to be telling a new human mythology, and as a career storyteller, I live to unravel that evolving narrative moment by moment.
Anthony Peake and I first crossed paths soon after the release of my documentary, DMT: The Spirit Molecule, based on Dr Rick Strassmans DMT research and book of the same title. Stating the obvious, my career definitely played a role in writing this Foreword, but only on the surface. I strongly believe that my personal extraordinary experiences actually played a more substantial role in me writing these words. From some of my earliest memories through the present, I have had many experiences that would be considered outside of consensus reality, and that I can no longer catalogue as hallucinations.
My experiences range from a variety of entity encounters, OBEs, synesthesia, telepathic communication, and many others. As a child, I quickly learned not to discuss these experiences openly, or it meant Professional Help! Yes, the collective scientific community that knew my mind, and how to go about fixing it. Well, I contend it does not need to be fixed, and now recognize that our being/consciousness exists far beyond anything that humanity perceives as time and space. However, Im not the only one sensing the Otherside! More and more people continue to have various transpersonal experiences, which not only manifest a greater awareness for the individual, but also collectively shift our global paradigms.
The Infinite Mindfield goes out on the proverbial limb, and begins to connect the dots with the source. Peake looks at the commonalities of all human spirituality from the east to the west. Nevertheless, he does not stop there, and also explores esoteric belief systems from the occult to freemasonry. From ancient texts to architecture, the reality cracks beg for our attention, and point toward our technological evolution that opens the envelope. Beginning with my entry point to this fascinating field, The Infinite Mindfield moves into the mysterious pineal gland from Dr Rick Strassmans research with The Spirit Molecule, Jeremy Narbys connection of DNA and serpents, and into dark matter/quantum mechanics. Further-more, Peake explores the ancient technology of ayahuasca and its role in the fabric of consciousness and our evolutionary history. He wraps it up all up by bringing up several of our current scientific quandaries, and suggests how light and our DNA relate to all the above.
For millennia, mystics have essentially said that particles/ matter exist instantaneously across space and time, but serve as a single layer of this deeply complex machine called life. And now, through scientific research, academia looks to be validating spiritual visionaries. The cultural significance of consciousness has skyrocketed in recent years, and our evolving technology remains one of the most dramatic driving forces for its re-emergence. Technologys power comes from its position between us and the ether, or as the middle ground and navigation tool for physicality. It reshapes our perspectives of ourselves in ways we never imagined, and positions humanity at the cusp of the next step on the evolutionary ladder, just as our ancestors were when they first harnessed fire. However, humanitys current burning stick centres on digital information and coding languages, continually reinterpreting our symbiotic relationship with the universe and facilitating the creation (or revelation) of novel dimensions.
More than anything, the bard in me views languages/ codes as the direct building blocks of reality. Our human mythology drastically needs a firmware update, and as the number of the aware global citizens grows, the universe will continue to wake up to itself, reveal its secrets, and poetically whisper, It is you, and you are It! The Infinite Mindfield does the same, and begins to link consciousness, physicality, and beyond. Anthony Peake opens The Doors of Perception, and encourages us to explore the infinite, energetic Dali-esque architecture of the Mindfield. Whatever you believe, throw it out! Rules no longer exist; only our imaginations will take us to our desired destination. The Infinite Mindfield offers a beautiful bridge for the cognitive gap.

Prologue
I N THE INTRODUCTION to my book The Out-of-Body Experience The History and Science of Astral Travel I describe how, in September 2010, I experienced my first, and to date only, encounter with a hypnagogic light device. I will describe this encounter in detail in a later chapter, but for now I simply wish to introduce the subjective experience it gave me that early autumn afternoon in Geneva. Its inventors, Dr Engelbert Winkler and Dr Dirk Proeckl, claim that this device can bring about altered states of consciousness, including an awareness of vivid imagery and a sensation of leaving the body and perceiving another place that is very different from the one encountered in everyday life. This place is similar to those encountered when in the semi-sleep states technically known as hypnagogia and hypnapompia. Later in this book I will discuss these liminal experiences in much greater detail. On that afternoon I experienced a series of vivid visual hallucinations followed by what I can only describe as a vision of an alternative reality. I mentioned this in passing in my earlier book but I would like to describe the events in more detail now as much of what I experienced that evening has direct relevance here.
After Lucia was switched off our small group, Dr Winkler, Dr Proeckl, our host (the near-death experience researcher Evelyn Elsaesser-Valarino), and another guest that weekend, Dr Art Funkhouser, discussed the mechanism by which the device can generate such imagery within the brain. As the guys chatted I started to feel a very strange sensation in the centre of my forehead. I didnt comment on it at the time because I didnt wish to deflect attention away from the subject matter. The sensation felt as if a very small creature was moving just underneath my skin. Indeed I had a vision in my mind of a baby snake moving inside an egg and about to break out. This sensation continued for about ten minutes and then it subsided. Later that evening over dinner the sensation started again, only this time it had changed to being a slow, precise throbbing. Again, after about ten minutes it stopped.
