Introduction
G OD is good to one and all; everything he does is suffused with grace.
P SALM 145:9 MSG
These devotions are especially for those days when you need a bit of encouragement and a gentle reminder to: Choose Grace! Three minutes from your busy day is all youll need to refresh your spirit and fill your cup to overflowing with grace for lifes journey.
- Minute 1: Read and reflect on Gods Word.
- Minute 2: Read the devotion and think about how it applies to your life.
- Minute 3: Pray.
Although these devotions arent meant as tools for deep Bible study, they can be a touchstone to keep you grounded and focused on the Grace-Giver. May this book remind you that the matchless grace of the heavenly Father is woven into lifes everyday moments.
Steady
People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, steady on their feet, because they keep at it and dont quit.
I SAIAH 26:3 MSG
O ne of the meanings of grace is an effortless beauty of movement. A person with this kind of grace doesnt trip over her own feet; shes not clumsy or awkward, but instead she moves easily, fluidly, steadily. From a spiritual perspective, most of us stumble quite a bitand yet we dont give up. We know that God holds our hands, and He will keep us steady even when we would otherwise fall flat on our faces.
Father, I dont always feel so graceful. Thank You for holding my hand, steadying my feet, and giving me the strength to keep at it, even when I stumble. Amen.
Life and Nourishment
I, the L ORD , am the one who answers your prayers and watches over you. I am like a green pine tree; your blessings come from me.
H OSEA 14:8 NCV
T hink of it: God is like a tree growing at the center of your life! In the shade of this tree, you find shelter. This tree is evergreen, with deep roots that draw up life and nourishment. Each one of lifes daily blessings is the fruit of this tree. It is the source of all your life, all your joy, and all your being.
Lord, how can I thank You for answering my prayers and watching over me? I am grateful for Your many blessings and for You, the source of my being. Amen.
Look Up!
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
P SALM 19:1 NIV
G race is as near as the sky over your head. Look up and be reminded of how wonderful God truly is. The same God who created the sun and the atmosphere, the stars and the galaxies, the same God who day by day creates a new sunrise and a new sunset, that same God loves you and creates beauty in your life each day!
