T he sun came up this morning. Food gives our bodies nourishment. Flowers dont grow in buckets of paint.

If these seem like things everyone should know, youre right. These are all true statements, but some people think each person can make a choice as to what he or she thinks is true. You might not think it makes sense to believe the sun never comes up, but we are told if someone really believes it, its true for them even if were standing in the sunshine looking for shade.

This idea is often used to say that God isnt real, Jesus was just a good man, and theres no heaven. Jesus said He is the only way to God, He offers real life, and absolute truth comes from Him.

When people say they dont believe God it never really changes the truth that Gods in control, loves people, and wants to rescue each of us from sinful choices.

Gods Word is filled with truth. Read it. Believe it. Live it.

Dear God, You want me to believe You are truth. It would be hard to accept You if I never knew if You were lying. Your words are truth and can be trusted every minute of every day. Help me always believe that Youre the Creator of no-doubt-about-it truth. Amen.

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

W hat are you good at? Skateboarding, gaming, Ping-Pong?

We all have skills. Sometimes we win a trophy, plaque, or ribbon for being the best at what we do. The trophies get displayed, pictures taken, and memories made.

A lot of hard work goes into achieving anything really special. Sometimes this means we get up early, practice more, and work up a sweat.

God wants us to achieve one thing more than others. He may want us to get up early, practice hard, and use some energy.

When you play basketball you cant win a game by sitting on the bench. When youre in a scholars bowl youll fail if you never study. When you live for God, you cant grow by refusing to follow the rules.

There are those around us who dont want us to succeed. They want us to make poor choices. They want us to lose interest in what God wants.
