Think and Grow Rich Quotes

By Napoleon Hill

The starting point of all achievement isDESIRE. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desire brings weakresults, just as a small fire makes a small amount of heat.

You are the master of your destiny. You caninfluence, direct and control your own environment. You can makeyour life what you want it to be.

When defeat comes, accept it as a signalthat your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sailonce more toward your coveted goal.

Set your mind on a definite goal and observehow quickly the world stands aside to let you pass.

The way of success is the way of continuouspursuit of knowledge.

A quitter never wins-and-a winner neverquits.

More gold had been mined from the mind ofmen than the earth itself

We refuse to believe that which we don'tunderstand.

Put your foot upon the neck of the fear ofcriticism by reaching a decision not to worry about what otherpeople think, do, or say.

Those who succeed in an outstanding wayseldom do so before the age of 40. More often, they do not striketheir real pace until they are well beyond the age of 50.

Opinions are the cheapest commodities onearth. Everyone has a flock of opinions ready to be wished uponanyone who will accept them. If you are influenced by "opinions"when you reach decisions, you will not succeed in anyundertaking.

Youve got to be sure of yourself before youcan ever win a prize.

I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can neverbring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because Iwill believe in them, and in myself.

TELL THE WORLD WHAT YOU INTEND TO DO, BUTFIRST SHOW IT. This is the equivalent of saying "deeds, and notwords, are what count most.

Perhaps we shall learn, as we pass throughthis age, that the 'other self" is more powerful than the physicalself we see when we look into a mirror.

Chapter 1
THE MIRACLES OF A STARFISH

Ill always be indebted to all those who havepositively shaped my life to what I am today and those who havehelped me learn the truth; even the truth that I have shared inthis book.

I was amazed the other day when I learnedthat a starfish has tremendous miraculous qualities unlike othercreatures that are grouped in the same animal kingdom with it.

Cut off the legs of a spider, and you have aseven legged creature on your hands; cut off its head and you havea dead spider. But cut off the arms of a starfish and it will growa new one. Not only that, but the detached arm can grow an entirelynew body. Starfish can achieve this amazing exploit because, unlikespiders, they are decentralized; replicated across each arm.

This begs the question, what if we had thesame power as a starfish. What if we were able to harness thispower and use it to reach our fullest potential? Is it reallypossible? Though we are different from other creatures and animalshuman have vast power and potential that cannot be one and the samewith the power or potential that all other creature have combined. This is one truth and reality that we have failed to fullyunderstand. We are the masters of destiny yet we have failed timeand again to understand this truth! We really and sundry not needto grow six fingers to understand that we have the power toreplicate. It can happen with our dreams. It needs not only happenin the animal kingdom, it can also be happen right here right nowin our society, our personal lives, with our dreams.

Friend, your divine destiny is waiting.

Do you realize how powerful you are, thepotential inside you? Its so sad that a lot of us do not realizethe power in them. If a starfish does not realize the creativepower in it, it cant unleash its power. You have to realize thepower of what you have in order for you to use that which youhave!

I believe that humans have much moreabilities compared to all other things, including the starfish.Human beings have the creative ability; a potential given byGod.

Rick warren in his book, the purpose drivenlife, asks a very potent question that we all need to ask ourselveswhat on earth am I here for? This is one question that we all needto ask ourselves! What on earth are we here for?

Its as sad as it can get when I see a youngman write a book but gives up before even he is published! Wecannot afford to give up that easy.

You have to know why God sent you to thisearth and not any other planet. Once you know that purpose you willhave known your dream. For your purpose is supposed to be yourdream and your dream your purpose.

Your divine destiny is waiting

You will notice that in this book I have notused for the most part- the term destiny, instead I have used theterm dream(s). This is because I have realized that most peopleunderstand the term dreams more than they understand the termdestiny. But we need to realize that both have the same meaning ifones dreams are controlled and are in line with the will of God.Your dreams are supposed to be your divine destiny. You aresupposed to fulfill your divine destiny; or should I say, you aresupposed to fulfill your dreams. Your destiny is awaiting, itsnever too late to fulfill your dreams. Lets pay attention to thewisdom of George Elliot as he expressly believed that its nevertoo late for anyone, no matter how old one gets because any pointin life one can always have the chance to make the difference. Youcan always make a change for the better no matter what backgroundyou derived from. Its never too late to shine; never.

Chapter 2
KNOW YOUR LIFE MISSION

When you discover your mission, you willfeel

Its demand. It will fill your enthusiasm

And give you a Burning desire to get to workon it.

-W.CLEMENT STONE

Dont live carelessly, unthinkingly. Makesure

You know what your master wants.

-Eph 5:17(Msg)

Its all about God and not about the dreams, the visions, or the ambitions you have. Dont live carelessly knowwhat God wants with your life, know the purpose in respect of whyyou we created and start living confidently in the direction of thepurpose, the dream, the vision that God has for you. The purposeof God in your life is that you may prosper even as your fulfillyour mission here on earth.

When Christ came to this earth He had amission to fulfill. He knew what His master sought after with Hislife. Therefore He needed identify a driving force that would haveimpelled and plunged Him to greater heights in order for Him toachieve His sent mission. After an era of about thirty years, afterexhausting all other forces that aided Him advance confidently inthe direction of His dreams He located His final driving force: Hisdisciples, one being a conspirator Judas Iscariot: An authenticservant. I love this man; he fulfilled his earthly mission, luckyme am now saved. Jesus needed someone like Judas in order for Himto complete His earthly mission. And if messiah needed a drivingforce you too need someone or something in order to fulfill yoursent mission, your purpose, your dream, your vision, your ambitionsname it! In order to conquer on planet earth you need to have alife driven by something, in this case you need God givenprinciples, the original vision that God has for you, you needJesus: He was also a driving force to the destiny of others: Thelikes of Peter, James, John, Judas and you!
