Larry, or Dad-Larry as I like to call him, has captured the essence of the heart of God in seeing men become all they can be. Larry, in his description and discussion of Teleios shows us that most of us are not nearly as good as we thought we were, but how, through a life completely yielded to the shaping and sharpening hand of Jesus, we can become more and do more than we ever imagined. I encourage you to read this wonderful book carefully and then read it again. Read it alone and read it with other men. Highlight parts, underline parts, and keep it close by because you will want to revisit parts that deeply touch you. I encourage you to open your heart to the Spirit of the living God and allow Him, through this book, to further the completing work that can only be done by the Masters touch.

Rarely does God combine prophetic gifts with pastoral gifts. Many prophets are so high upon the wall they lose contact with the sheep they are guarding. Many pastors are so close to the ground that they, like the sheep, are grazing in green pastures oblivious to the shifting seasons through which the sheep travel. It is through the man, the ministry, and the message of Larry Titus that a unique spiritual blend of a prophets voice, a fathers love, and a shepherds heart that a sanctified relationship of spiritual parenting evolves. Like Father Abraham, he has many sons and daughters, but most of all he is an instrument, an inspiration, and an encouragement to a shifting generation with the revelation that God desires to turn the heart of the fathers to their children and the heart of the children to their fathers. If you need a model of manhood fused with fatherhoodcautiously read this book!

The example and imprint of the life and voice of Larry Titus is deeply acknowledged by two of my close friends and colleagues in ministry, Pastors Jimmy Evans and Tom Lane. When they were young men, it was Larry who released the teleios in them. His example and articulation takes men to their full potentialbeyond what they can see for themselves. Read The Teleios Man and allow Larrys input to imprint you as he has done for multitudes.

I highly recommend this book and the ministry of Larry Titus to you. Larry has deeply impacted my life and the lives of many other men I know. He lives what he teaches and is an example for all men who want to live for Christ.

In The Teleios Man, Larry Titus shows the heart of a spiritual father: to show a man his true identity as a son. He sees with spiritual eyes the intrinsic worth and potential hidden in a man, calls him forth into his destiny by encouraging words and actions, affirms his giftings as they emerge, and prophetically seals the calling of God by blessing him. This restoration of the father-son relationship is the great need and the ultimate destiny of our generation.

Generations of Righteousness
In addition to my beautiful wife, Devi, I want to dedicate this book
to my awesome children, Trina and Aaron. They are the joy of my life.
Their character and life choices have fulfilled my dreams as a father.
What on earth can surpass the joy of seeing your children serving
and loving God fervently; only one thing, seeing your grandchildren
replicating their examples. So to my childrens children, Brooke,
Brandon, Brittany, Bryson, Melody and Michaela, I also dedicate
this book. You have made my life complete. Well, not quite, there are
the great grandchildren, Sophia, Isabella and soon-to-be-born Levi.
So I bless and dedicate this book to them as well. Then theres .
FOREWORD
ITS BEEN TWENTY YEARS since I heard one of my favorite quotes. Its appeal to me is the way it cuts to the corebeing more than just clever, its Christ-like:
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing!
I hope it doesnt offend anyone that it isnt a quote from the Bible, especially since I said I see it as very much like Jesus. But Ill stand by it, because what Jesus modeled in the way he spent his time indicates the main thing as he saw it. Jesuss ministry spent more time on discipling men than anything else.
Thats what this book is aboutdiscipleship. Its about shaping, growing, mentoring, teaching, nurturing guys in ways that they become very real though not very religious. Its about precisely the same thing Jesus did in laying the groundwork for establishing his church.
1. Yes, he died to provide salvation for humankind and birthed the possibility for his church.
2. Yes, he rose from the dead, and in verifying his cross did achieve #1; he gave the church a life-giving message.
3. Yes, he sent his Spirit, pouring out power from on high to enable the churchhis peopleto effectively go into all the world with his works as well as his Word (Luke 24:49, Mark 16:15).
