For many years now, I have been closely associated with Tachi-ren and Angelic Outreach. I was there the first night Tachi channeled Orin, an aspect of Archangel Ariel, and have attended just about every occasion that Tachi has channeled Ariel since then.

I would like to use this opportunity to acknowledge the support of Tachis love, vision, and inspiration. For several years, Ariel has been bringing new energy techniques onto the planet through Tachi, so it was no surprise when Serapis referred to several of these techniques and suggested that we use them in this book.

The flood of upper-dimensional information and techniques just keeps building, as our planet and her inhabitants increase their vibratory frequency at an ever increasing rate. The first draft of this book was written over a three week period in January, 1989. In December 1988, I had become aware of an energy about me which announced itself as Serapis and said that its function was to foster the intellectual clarity and discipline required for ascension.

I began an internal dialogue with Serapis and, in early January, Serapis announced the intention to write a book with me on the subject of ascension. We quickly established a writing pattern. I would begin each session by inviting Serapis in and just begin to write. Often, I would sense Serapis probing my memory for a concept or phrase but, having put an idea into my head, Serapis left the expression part up to me.

Although I didnt realize it at the time, I now know my energy is that of Serapis, and we are sufficiently close in frequency that the flow of thought is seamless: we merge consciousness. The result is a combination of new material from Serapis and what I already knew consciously, selected and arranged by Serapis. As I began to use the techniques that this book offers, the connection became stronger.

So, early in January, 1989, I came to know firsthand the reality of the non-physical world as the source of everything. Following this intense inner paradigm shift, Serapis began this book. The manuscript then sat on a shelf until August, 1991, when Serapis once again prodded me to get the word out. Much had happened in the intervening two-and-a-half years, both personally and planetarily, and Serapis and I took this opportunity to bring the manuscript up to date. In October, 1991, the planet and her population went through a tremendous shift and again the book went on hold until March, 1992. Many of the rules of the game changed in that period, and it now feels to me as though Lightworkers need to be more grounded and earthy. Also, the emphasis seems to have shifted to co-creation through group work. In this new reality, we seem less bent on personal ascension or bust, and more on together we can do it.

Over the years, the Serapis material has really brought home to me, at the conscious level, that the realm of Spirit is not something apart from us. It is us, a higher-frequency part of us, and moving up to this frequency is as easy as we believe it to be. We are not separate. Spirit is not something we have. It is what we are, or as some folks say, we are something that Spirit has. I hope this book brings it home that we are not humans having a spiritual experience, but Spirit having a human experience. We are part of a much larger entity, just like an employee of a company is a part of that company, one with a specific and unique function and perspective.

After many years, Ive come to know at a deep inner level that I am not something separate and apart from Spirit, that we form a continuum of being in which only the perspective differs, and that a perspective experienced from within a physical body allows unique perceptions and ways of being.

For me, this realization was a multi-step process. Through contact with numerous channeled entities over the years, I had picked up an intellectual appreciation of the nonphysical universe around us. But it took a series of events (not always pleasant) to awaken me emotionally and begin to release what was stored at the cellular level of my physical body. As well see, this is necessary because, in order to ascend with the physical body, we must increase its frequency to that of the Lightbody. Some of us choose to do this slowly over time, and others choose a faster, more turbulent route. Whatever your path, know that you are guided and protected at each step.

This book invites you to review how you see the relationship between the physical, emotional, mental, and Spirit. As you read, do so first with an open heart chakra. Sense the energy behind and within the words. Let your spirit and Serapis flesh out your understanding as you read. Later you can go back and analyze the material from an intellectual perspective. Let understanding filter in during your first reading without mental judgement. The book is short enough to allow more than one reading. Its also somewhat non-linear, because Serapis may approach the same concept from a number of different directions.

Only a handful of people have been in space and seen planet Earth in her entirety. The rest of us may have difficulty in visualizing the planet hanging in space, and may use a model to assist the familiar globe. Now, of course, no-one would mistake the model for the real thing in this case. Similarly, when it comes to metaphysics in general and ascension in particular, the truth is so vast and incomprehensible that it would be a mistake to think that we could grasp it from where we stand. So, we are given models that we can grasp to open our understanding a little at a time. This book is one such model, a tiny flicker in the dark that together with other flickers will light our path.
