Contents
Your picture of the planet as alive and full of light is for the first time in the history of the world, global in scope. But you must decide whether it is the excitement and hope for this planet that will rest in your heart, or the fragmented belief in all the possible separations
If you want Enlightenment, and if you want to feel your heart overflowing with Love, you must remove your awareness from the movement of the ego curtain and place it on those things that will give you the pleasure of connecting with the Divine
We are here to share a process that is not a process, a journey to a place where youve already arrived, a search for what youve already found, a becoming which you already are, and a longing to be aware when you are already total awareness.
I have asked all of you who are interested in your own self-enlightenment to spend time in our remaining years together strengthening your experience that this energy you call Bartholomew is you
You came to this planet to create an expanded, vaster view of God and mankind. It is the most holy thing you could possibly do here. You, plus the Divine, have the potential to create a wondrously new belief about what God is, and about who you are.
Let us not just have this be a victory of arms. Let this be a victory of consciousness, so when it is finished, there will be a level set in the land and in the people that will, in some future moment, open to a deeper understanding of what is now considered to be the enemy
The love of mankind is moving out across the planet, and if the first steps toward global unity are taken through war, they will not be the last. Softer, gentler footsteps will follow.
In the midst of the void is a magnificent, vast wave that you are a part of. Out of the void of pure awareness came an explosion of powerthe delightful wave of consciousness you have been riding ever since
Using the beauty of your brothers and sisters to accelerate your path is to use them with honor and dignity. The camouflage of the illusion seems alive, but it is the life behind it that is real. You created each other for the beautiful, mystical awakening to this.
From the endless stretches of consciousness, that which is the total potentiality of all things enters the world through you. The greater your commitment to have it be a conscious event, the vaster the information you receive can be.
You are all familiar with the negative aspects that troubled times can bring, so I would like to focus on the positive possibility that these worldwide difficulties are wonderful opportunities to expand God-Consciousness.
Six years to the month have gone by since the first Bartholomew book was typeset on an Apple computer and published on a shoestring. Back in those days, 40 or so people would gather at a private home in Albuquerque to share an hour with him. The equipment we used to record the sessions was hardly the best, and the tapes came out scratchy because none of us realized how precious this teaching would become. Over the years, the equipment improved, the house became an auditorium, and the books were handed over to a professional typesetter. Weve upgraded the presentation, but Bartholomews wisdom has never changed. It still packs the same wallop of truththe same humor, compassion, and love. The messages may vibrate with greater intensity, but Bartholomew remains a gentle brother.
This fourth book really contains ten keys. Some were handforged by people participating in workshops. Others were practiced into reality. Several will fit the lock on your heart. And a few are shaped like bells going off in the empty sky. Find the one that most appeals to you, follow any path to its end, and use the key of your choice to unlock the door to your freedom.

I wrote the following introduction in the fall of 1990, a few months after we were told that the spoken, public, outer work with Bartholomew would come to an end sometime in 1995. Now, in the fall of 1998, I feel the need to reprint it, and to report some current insights on the conclusions reached in 1990, both mine and others.
It is fall again in my mountain valley, and as I watch the turning of the leaves, I find myself pondering what to say in this, my fourth introduction to a Bartholomew book. So much has been explained and described in those first three introductions that I ask myself what remains. Only one area stands out, and that is to answer the question that has been asked by myself and others many times in the last few months: How does it feel to know that all of this will be over by the middle of 1995, and what does it mean?
