Dedication
This book is dedicated to Wilda, my spiritual mentor and dearest friend. She is a strong woman of God who has helped me to discover and develop my gifts. I love her very much and I am truly blessed to have her in my life. I pray that God will bless her all the days of her life.
Table of Contents
Thank You to:
Buddy my husband, who is my partner in life and ministry; my strongest coach, and supporter.
Josh my son, who blessed us so many years ago, and ever since with abundant love and joy. Without him, we may never have met Bunny.
Jai and Krish Gupta, two delightful little boys who I love so much for giving me a childs point of view.
Thank you to all of my family and friends for their wonderful support
and comments.
A Special Thank You to:
Sam and Ruth, my parents, who raised me in church, where I develop a strong relationship with God, and for raising me on a farm where I could be still and know God, and hear His voice.
Most of all, I thank God for choosing me to share His message of love and friendship. This book has been several years in the making and I pray that God is pleased with the outcome.
This book is based on a real life event that deals with the issue of bullying. Unfortunately, this is a problem that many children face. I have tried to address this issue from Gods perspective. I pray this book will be educational and encouraging to your child if they are being bullied or know someone who is.
I hope your child enjoys reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Do you know someone who is being bullied?
Do you know someone who needs a friend?
Do you want to learn how you can help them and share Gods love?
With this book you will learn:
How we should treat others.
What it means to be a good friend.
How you can share Gods message and love to others through the Bible.
The story begins on an animal farm in Texas. There we met a rabbit named Bunny. Bunny had a difficult time fitting in with the other rabbits. He was very sad and lonely. He longed to have friends to spend time with. When we pray things change. And that is just what happened for Bunny.
Come along with me and see how things changed for Bunny and the amazing gift he received.
Then God said, Let the earth produce many kinds of living things, Let there be many different kinds of animals. Let there be large animals and small crawling animals of every kind
Genesis 1:24 (ERV)
When my son was very little his daddy and I took him to an animal farm. It was a big farm. It had a lake where the animals could go swimming and get a drink of water when it was hot.
There was a red barn where food and supplies were kept to feed and care for the animals. There were so many different kinds of animals. Some animals were walking around but, others had to be in cages to keep them safe. When we saw the rabbits, we got very excited because we love rabbits. There were all different kinds of rabbits, some were white, some were black, some were gray and some were all of these colors.
Then we saw Bunny. He was so pretty. He was gray with beautiful eyes and a shinny coat.
Bunny was perfect in every way.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
Psalms 56:3(ERV)
Bunny was sitting in the corner of the cage that he shared with the other rabbits. He was shaking and scared. He was hurt because the other rabbits hit him. It made me very sad that they were being mean to Bunny and I started to cry.
I wondered why God was letting the other rabbits be mean to Bunny. I wondered why the animal keepers did not put Bunny in a cage by himself so that he would be safe and not get hurt anymore.
You see the other rabbits did not like Bunny. They made fun of him and called him names. They would not play with him and Bunny felt so alone and very sad. He wished he could have just one friend to play with and to tell his secrets too.
Please pay attention to my prayers. Listen to my prayers for mercy.
Psalms 88:2 (ERV)
We started to pray for Bunny. We asked God to protect him from the other rabbits that were mean to him and to heal him. We asked God to show the other rabbits how to be nice and to be friends with Bunny.
While we were praying, God told me that just like Bunny people had made fun of His son Jesus too. They called Jesus names, and threw things at Him. Some people did not want anything to do with Jesus. This made God very sad. He loves all of us so much and He sent His son Jesus to help us.
It was then that I knew why God was letting this happen to Bunny. God wanted to show me how sad He feels when people dont accept His son Jesus. He wanted me to share this book with you so you could understand how important it is to love and accept others even if they are different.
I love those who love me, and those who look for me will find me.
