If youre reading this book, its probably because youve lost someone important to you. If you havent, I imagine youre simply curious to learn more about life after death and the process of mediumship. Either way, this book is for you.

But if you do fall into that first category of readers, then I want you to know: I cant really think of anything in life that is more difficult than dealing with the loss of someone you love. Its enough to make you feel like the bottom has dropped out of your world. Something as simple as finding the energy to get out of bed in the morning can feel totally overwhelming. It can be hard to know how to move forward.

I know this because, as a medium (or a translator between this world and the Spirit World), I have spent a lot of time talking to people in similar situations to the one you are in right now.

While I cant stop the grieving process or single-handedly heal your pain, what I can do is tell you with percent certainty that, for as alone as you feel right now, your loved ones are still with you in Spirit.

Even if you cant hear or see them, they are still around you. They want you to know that theyre always by your side.

How to Read This Book

Since youre reading this book, chances are you have some special interest in the afterlife. Maybe youve recently lost someone close to you, or perhaps youre a medium looking to develop your gift. You might be tempted to glance through the table of contents, find the chapter youre looking for, and flip straight to that page. I understand the impulse, but before you do that, give me a chance to make my case for reading the entire book in order.

This book is laid out in a very particular way. Each chapter lays the foundation for the next, and I will provide pieces of information as you go, so that by the end you can see the whole picture. I give definitions and use analogies that I then rely on for the rest of the book. Without this knowledge, youre going to find it more difficult to make sense of what youre reading. There could also be important messages waiting for you in chapters you might otherwise skip. Often, we find comfort and meaning in the stories and experiences of others, even if their situation might look different than ours on the surface.

There is one exception to thisthe first few chapters are about my background and experience coming into my gift and, from there, mediumship career. I included this because, frankly, I dont plan to write another book for a long time. So, I figured it was best to answer all the questions I typically get in one go! For some, especially those who are trying to get into mediumship themselves or who loved watching Monica the Medium on tv , this is stuff they want to know. But if you find yourself thinking, Lets get to the good stuff! feel free to skim over that and pick up reading about halfway through Chapter Three. (Although, in doing so, just know that you might still miss out on some golden nuggets.)

Why Spirit Communicates

I believe Ive had the gift of being able to communicate with the Other Side (or Heaven, as I like to call it, but really its all the same) for my entire life, although it took me a while to figure that out. Today, I channel what I call Spirit (the souls of those who have passed on to the Other Side) for people who need to hear from them most.

One of the main reasons Spirit comes through is because they love those of us here in the physical world so much that they want to help us move forward so that we can live the most joyful and fulfilling life possible. They want to send us little hellos from Heaven so that we understand they are still very much alive, even if its in a way that looks different from how it did before. For as much as you want to connect with your loved ones who have passed, they also want to connect with you. They are aware of your thoughts, grief, pain, and struggle, and they strive to help you through the process.

They want to support you from Heaven. They want to bring you comfort. They want to give you reassurance that they are okay. They want to help you heal and to provide closure. Sometimes, Spirit wants to offer apologies or answers to those burning questions that make you feel as though you cant find peace. And, sometimes, they just want to say, Hi, Im here.
