Chapter 1: What Is a Servitor
Perhaps you have heard the term servitor before being used in reference to an undergraduate student receiving free meals and free accommodation at the University of Edinburgh or the University of Oxford. That is not the meaning of the term being covered in this book. In fact, the last known use of the term in this sense was in 1867.
These days, the term servitor exclusively refers to a thought form, an idea, energy, a spirit or a living being that exists to perform a certain function. It is comparable to a sigil that comes to life as a result of a magicians ritual act. However, this ability to create such a being is no longer exclusive to magicians. Yes, you read it right. Just about anyone can learn the trick and put it to good use. Even you can create your own servitor as long as you know how it is done.
A servitor is best defined as a mystic servant you fashion with your own thoughts to carry out your wishes. It can also be an imaginary pal you form out of your desire to feel something. For example, if you want to feel that you are not alone, your servitor can act as your company. This creature can adopt any purpose or idea and be designed accordingly. The more sophisticated your purpose is, the more energy and concentration thats needed to bring it to fruition.
As mentioned in the foregoing, the servitor is your servant. It will do whatever you want it to do, but each servitor performs only one function at a time, such as the following:
- Protect your family or property
- Bring you certain things you want or need
- Help give you the feeling you want to feel, such as happiness, confidence, luck, bravery, etc.
The general understanding regarding a servitor is that it is a focused thought form created to carry out a specific task laid down by its master. Without the knowledge of many people, very few (those in the know) have the ability to focus their thoughts with such intensity that they can bring their thoughts to material being.
Whether you believe it or not that a servitor can really exist is up to you, but there are records or cases where some people have claimed to have seen or experienced such a supernatural being. The writer and explorer Alexandra David-Neel, for instance, related her story about her firsthand encounters with servitors in Tibet. These creatures are called Tulpa by the Tibetan people, who are widely known as terrific creators of servitors. She also revealed that after several months of persistence and continued effort, she was finally able to develop her own Tulpa. Her creation was said to have been so solidly developed that her colleagues even saw it as well.
Another example of a servitor can be gleaned from the experience of Dion Fortune. She recounted an event in her life when a wolf spirit was following and tormenting her. Later, she realized that this wolf was actually just a creation of her mind. The problem was that she was not aware of it at the time, so it was doing her harm instead of good.
A Servitor Is Energy
You might be pondering how on earth a person like you can create a spirit. The simplest answer is that in its purest sense, you dont really create anything. You are just reshaping energy that exists all around you and fashioning it in such a way that your will seeps through it.
A spirit is energy. Energy exists everywhere. When you think, it involves energy. When you act, it involves the use of energy. In a manner of speaking, our very self is energy, our will is energy, and our emotion is energy. Being the fundamental substance of a spirit, energy abounds in the material world and in the mind, heart, and flesh of each human being. If you possess the intention, will, and focus, you too can use these tools to create your own servitor.
As a basic entity or raw spirit, a servitor functions on two basic principles: subsistence, and execution of its design. In manner similar to how humans naturally feel the need to eat, drink, and mate to survive, the same is true for a servitor. It pursues a good source of energy for it to live, and live long enough until it satisfies the purpose of its existence. The energy required to keep the servitor alive can be provided in several ways, the primary of which is from you. However, take note that even a simple praise or acknowledgment of a job well done is enough at times.
Consider a servitor as a living entity created out of your spell that remembers your purpose and goes out to the world to fulfill this purpose. In exchange for its service, you are obligated to give it a reward. Often supplying it with energy is enough reward.
Why Create a Servitor
Whether you just want to measure the power of your mind, or really bring to life a thought form or an astral being, your servitor can do great things beyond your imagination. This is possible if you create your servitor in the right manner. Being inventive in designing your creation and how it will perform its task is an important skill that you can cultivate over time. If you are going through a tough time in your life and you need the help of someone or something, you can tap into this covert, yet unlimited resource. It is within reach if you but open your eyes and if you are not afraid to venture into the realm of the occult and paranormal.
You create a servitor for a specific purpose. For instance, you want to lighten up the mood of people entering your home. For that purpose, you can create an oil lamp servitor placed above your door. When people enter your house through the front door, they will be illuminated by the lamp and be able to feel its warmth. The light of the lamp radiates positive energy that is refreshing and lovely. This servitor helps promote harmony among the members of the household, including your visitors, because anyone who comes in can feel its power.
