First and foremost, this book is dedicated to the tiny love of my life; Ytearie Milliona DeValt and then to all of the other little ladies that I also cherish! I love you with all my heart and I pray that you never forget who God is and to whom you belong. Becoming a woman is a beautiful thing, but it cannot be achieved successfully without surrendering to Jesus,
practicing prayer, and executing faith!

The purpose of this manuscript is to help women find their way back to where God intended us to be; one quote at a time. Over the years, I can truly say that we have evolved, but I can also say that in some areas . many of the ones that truly matter . we have dropped the ball! We no longer value ourselves the way that we use to and because of that, neither do our men or the rest of the community for that matter. Another thing that we have failed to do is cherish the importance of God, his word, and prayer; instead, the majority of us have given up and as the world would say, we have charged it to the game! Well, newsflash .... there is no game that your lives can be charged to, because God isnt playing one. I am not a preacher, nor am I a minister, but I am a child of God and as your sister, I care about your well-being. I also honor the torch that has been passed down to us! We come from a line of women that loved and respected themselves and their families. They believed in the power of God and prayer; and were led by faith. God is real and it is time for us to wake up! I challenge you to open your minds and embrace a more positive way of thinking. Please read this book in its entirety and when you are done be a blessing to someone and pass it on.

Faith is a Journey that is not easily traveled . so travel Faithfully .... Gracefully .... and most of all Beautifully!

... opportunities to allow the word of God to simmer on the inside of you!

So just sit back, relax, and let it!

Before I get into the depths of things, please allow me to say this. I think that it is absolutely impossible to succeed, prosper, and be completely happy without God in your life! He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last (Revelation 22:13).... This means that he is also everything in between!

EVERY -thing that is worth
ANY -thing

MUST start with a solid
foundation

And that foundation is the
word of God!

Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
(Proverbs 24:3-4)

Listen . no one ever told me that you can know of God without actually knowing who God is! Did you catch that? If not, let me repeat it because there are some sisters out there who are lost . it is possible to know of God... without knowing who he truly is!

Now . one might ask how I can achieve that? How can I get to know who he truly is? And to that I would have to say by studying the word and diligently seeking him through prayer (Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. Chronicles 16:11).

We, as individuals, hold man accountable for every promise that he or she speaks but when it comes to the word of God and the promises that were written and left behind for us many fail to even give him a chance! We act as if the Holy Bible is just another book!

There is a saying that good things come to those who wait, but I disagree . good things dont always come to those who wait, but they ALWAYS come to those who invest their time in the Lord. The holy word [bible] says that we will reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7)... which means that what you do today plants the seed towards your tomorrow. Dont let a lifetime of hard work go down the drain all because you refuse to build it on a solid foundation!

Knowing God .
is feeling his peaceful
presence .
and sitting quiet long
enough .
to hear his overwhelming,
yet soothing voice .

If you want that feeling, you must read the word and spend quality time in prayer so that you can build a one on one relationship with Christ. Dont let the concept of prayer intimidate you, just talk to Him as you would talk to your family members and friends. Let the Lord know that you need more of him each and every day .. the only difference in talking to him versus a friend . is HE ACTUALLY LISTENS! After you spend time in his presence and open your heart then you listen . because he has some things that he wants to share with you also. There is nothing like the presence of God! You feel and hear his voice in your spirit and you will know that it is him, because its a feeling of overwhelming love and peace. I adore being in his company because it keeps me grounded! Theres no telling where I would be or who I would be if it wasnt for my relationship with him. So let the word be your foundation, for its the only source of security that any of us can truly be sure of. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

~PRAYER~

Heavenly Father ...

I look to you for guidance ....

Because you are my Shepherd ...

and I am your sheep ...

Sometimes the sky is cloudy ...

and my vision gets impaired ...

The road gets bumpy ...

and the hills are hard to climb ...

but right now Father ... Right now at

this very moment ....

I ask that you please be with me ...

while Im on my Journey!

We all know that before we start the journey of trying to understand someone we have an obligation of understanding ourselves first. I know that times get hard and its a struggle every day when youre trying to do whats right, but the end result is worth it. Fighting your flesh, may be one of the hardest things that you will ever have to do, and its something that you will always have to do . but remain prayerful! You Can Do It! Your tears may break you down, but God has blessed you with a beautiful smile to help lift you back up! Dont let anything deter you; your faith has to be stronger than your fears!! Just because you make a mistake doesnt mean that you have to throw in the towel. If you drop it, just simply pick it back up and keep going! Remember the saying . the greater the storm, the brighter your rainbow . We all go through things and we all have bad days, but in those late night moments when you cant sleep and your problems seem to outweigh your blessings . turn over and wipe your tears then look at things from a different angle. Whatever it is that you believe God for . you have SAY IT and CLAIM IT! Then DECLARE that you have it in JESUS name! All he asks is that you believe in him . and all I ask is do you? Call things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17) and realize who you are in Christ! You should not only understand who you are, but the powers that you also possess. You are a powerful being and because of it . Satan will try to turn you into your own worst enemy. Believe in yourself and adopt an endless amount of faith in your abilities. You are a winner! In life we sometimes stumble and many of us even fall, but with God . we never lose! How great is that!! All you have to do is meditate on Gods word and stay prayed up! Be consistent . because if you take your eyes off him for even a split second . its just enough time for the enemy to come in and TRY to set up shop! But the devil is a LIAR . you will not allow that to happen . you will continue to let God be the driving force in your life. People will let you down, but God will never leave nor forsake you! (Deuteronomy 31:6) As you go about each day know that you are equipped, anointed, and blessed! There is no reason for you to ever settle for GOOD, when God has already declared you to be GREAT (10x Greater)! (Daniel 1:20)
