I dedicate this book to Mary Anyango who has tirelessly worked alongside me at Cindis Hope Kenya since its inception. Her dedication, love, passion to serve others, humble spirit, and friendship cannot be matched. I am so grateful to call her friend and know we have walked this path together for the glory of our Heavenly Abba.

I would also like to dedicate this book to my special sister, Lori Acay. Beloved, you do not know friendship until you have a sister and friend like her. Someone who will pray with you, work extra hard with you, support you, love you, admonish you, and stand with you during the storms of life. There is none like her! I am so very, very grateful the Lord has given me her as a friend and sister. Without her help, her love, and care I am not sure where I would be and much of the administrative work would still be pending! I pray each of you can have such deep relationships to carry out His work.

There can be many people in your life that love you, help you, go above and beyond what you could ever ask or imagineFor me, Deb Derber is that gift. I am so very grateful for all she does to assist me with the ministry and in life. She is such a treasure! May the Lord reward richly her.

Good morning from the plateaus of the Aberderes in Kenya. It is a crisp morning as the children are preparing for their end of term exams today. I am at one of the Cindis Hope Academy schools in Kenya, and there are four others between Kenya and Rwanda. I came to Kenya as a missionary in 2006 and that is when the real learning took place! I thought I knew the Word of God. I thought I had a good relationship with our Father. We can learn so much when we ask, look, and seek. Why were so many missionaries going home? How could so many live here in Kenya and yet, I am wondering what impact and lasting changes are we truly making? Do you wonder about that in your own life? If I am a Christian, should I live differently? Should my life be different in some way? Or is that only for those special people who live in a different country? In 2006, I had more questions than answers.

This devotional was written for you.

We think we have a relationship with Jesus; we think we know the Word of GOD. HE has so much more for us, it truly is beyond what we could ever hope or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). I want to share with you some of the precious nuggets of truth the Lord has taught me over the years. I know there will be more! I want more. I pray you longingly desire more from our Lord also. He has great plans for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11) Let us find out what some of those plans are and start walking in them!

The Heaven on Earth Devotional is a practical tool for those hungry for more. God wants us hungry for his Word and he wants to pour out his blessing and favor on our everyday lives. Cindi is one of my favorite people to walk with in the Kingdom. I have been watching her life and ministry for many years and have learned what it means to have bold faith and to truly trust in Jesus in the unknown. I pray this devo launches you into greater faith and the knowing of who Jesus is through a life of ask, seek and knock. As I reflect on Cindi and the ministry God has given her, there is one name that I associate her with...George Mueller, the great missionary of faith. He walked by faith, took care of 1000s of orphans, and started schools to raise these children in. I see Dr. Cindi Mendoza as a modern-day George Mueller, relying on Jesus to supply for every aspect of the ministry set before her.

As you read and reflect on the following pages you will also see the correlation of that great missionary of old, George Mueller, in Cindis journey. You will be encouraged and exhorted to follow Jesus more closely through her stories of African airports, leggings, horses, and courtrooms.

Her love for people and Jesus shine through each days devotional. You will also see the struggles of a very real person as she walks out her daily life serving Him.

It is my prayer that you will form a deeper relationship and dependence on Jesus as you meet with Him through the eyes of a missionary in Africa who walks by faith with Him every day.

The minute I picked up this devotional book I thought to myself, This is so vintage Cindi Mendoza. Her passion to grow in Christ and for others to do the same, her desire to be part of Kingdom growth, her yearning to see others experience the abundant life that God offers them, and yes, even her own willingness to confess when she oopsed along the way, is the Cindi Mendoza whom I have seen God use in mighty ways.

Now this is not one of those warm and fuzzy, grab some coffee and curl up in a blanket devotional book. No, it is a book filled with daily challenges that convict a person to really ask, Do I really believe what it is I profess as a follower of Jesus? Cindi is not one to merely talk about her faith in Jesus but shows us what it means to live out that faith with a blessed assurance that Jesus promises are trustworthy and true. I confess that there were those moments when I found myself saying ouch, because her words cut me to the quick. And that is a good thing.

Cindi reminds us over and over that we have a loving and faithful Father who has given His very best in His son, Jesus, that we might live victorious, power filled, faith filled, fruitful lives, no matter the circumstances we might face. Cindi shares some of those experiences with us as readers in such a way that we find ourselves encouraged, energized, and excited to serve our risen Lord. This is so important in a day and age when we as Christians too often are crouching back in fear rather than marching forward in faith.

I have known Cindi of Cindis Hope for many years after we met in my husbands church in Lexington, KY years ago. Through the years, I witnessed Cindis faith and perseverance. She has always loved the study of Gods Word. Cindis devotional book is a peek into the window of her life; her mistakes, triumphs and vulnerability are all on display. She has a way of encouraging the reader to greater faith and to trust and believe God for big things because she has done that herself and reaped tremendous fruit in the exercise of her gift- FAITH. This devotional is clear and easy to understand with entries based on her own unique experiences and those of biblical characters. They demonstrate practical application and at the end of each days topic you will find several supporting verses of scripture. This devotional will help you to learn Gods word and how to apply it to your everyday lives and situations. You will be challenged to live a more fulfilled life; a blessed life when you walk in the promises of God. One of my most favorite verses in scripture is: Ephesians 3:20, Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. And you will find this verse on Day 27- DREAM. If I had to choose a motto for Cindis life it would be this, If you can do it, it is not really from the Lord. Dream GOD sized dreams Cindi lives this out. She has achieved great things for the glory of God because Cindi has exhaustively studied the Word of God, then she trusts His Word, claims His promises, and lives by faith. This devotional has encouraged me to look deeper into my own soul and ask myself, where is my measure of faith taking me? God has made many promises to us in scripture, but it is up to us to TRUST Him; Day 29, HE wants to bring His Kingdom here from Heaven to Earth.
