Its been a year since the idea for Animal Soul Contracts flowed into my consciousness during a morning meditation. As I began writing the manuscript, I suddenly realized that Id signed up (at a soul level) with my new cat companions Bodhi and Rumi, to create this book. The impetus was to help animal lovers everywhere more peacefully navigate the waters of their relationships with animals through a higher awareness of their soul agreements.

My gratitude begins with Bodhi and Rumi and must include the people who illuminated the path so that we could reconnect with each other. Thank you to Nancy Riley and Lisa Bass, volunteers at Good Mews Animal Foundation, for their superb service, flexibility, and assistance throughout the adoption process. Thanks to Good Mews for saving the feline family. Rescue volunteers helping out at every levelfrom setting traps to pulling over on the side of the road to help a stray to cleaning runs and cagesare doing sacred work to help all animals feel safe and loved. These courageous people live the highs and lows that arrive with rescue work and continually find the courage within to help more animals. I send gratitude to each and every person who exhibits such compassion, empathy, and kindness to animals.

Endless thanks to my friend Gigi Graves, director and one of the founders of Our Pals Place (OPP) in Marietta, Georgia, for her commitment to rescuing and transforming animals; her ability to reach for the higher, more conscious viewpoint in each situation and experience; and for honoring the guidance of her heart.
