Foreword

T o scale that mountain ahead of you, you have to silence the lies in your head.

You know the ones.

The lie that says you should just lay down and give upwhen God is giving you his hand right now to help you up.

The lie that says you dont have what it takes to keep goingwhen the Mover of mountains takes you, has you, and keeps you so that nothing can stop you from moving your mountain.

The lie that says the mountain you are facing is greater than the God who is facing youwhen God has not turned his back on you for one moment ever so that you are facing not the insurmountable but the One who is unstoppable.

Because our God moves mountains, your mountains can move.

I count Kristen Welch as one of my closest heart sisters, a spiritual mentor, and a ministry partner, with whom Ive worked closely for years to bring hope to women. I can testify: Kristens radically surrendered life detonates doubt and bears witness to the truthwhatever mountain you are climbing can stretch out into a road because Jesus didnt climb down from the cross but stretched out his arms and made himself a way through mountains.

Kristen has bravely lived exactly this over the last decade with cruciform courage and tenacious trust. Battling through profound health obstacles, relentless ministry mountains, and heartbreaking relational inclines, Kristen has defiantly trusted God to move mountains of injustice, indifference, and inequality. Ive watched Kristen lay her whole life down for God in order to knock other peoples mountains down and be more than enough for her own.

God either moves mountains or carries us over to build our faith. And Kristens story will build your faith in a God who doesnt move mountains to make things easy but moves our hearts to make everything about him.
