ARISE. THIS HAS BEEN THE CALL OF HEAVEN TO THE daughters of God ever since Jesus walked the earth.
He confronted and challenged cultural ideals about women. Their position. Their voice. Their importance. If Jesus is truly the ultimate expression of who Father God is and what He desires (see Col. 1:15; Heb. 1:1-3), I believe a revolutionary invitation toward the daughters of God has been extended for over two thousand years.
The Samaritan woman at the well had a life-changing encounter with personified Living Water, and what happened? In the midst of her sin and shame, Jesus unveiled her eyes to revelation about Himself that was simply stunning. Even though the disciples were clearly challenged by the fact that Jesus was talking to a woman, her response was worth noting. This woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people, Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ? They went out of the town and were coming to him ( John 4:28-30). She went and said to the people. She didnt just tell the women. She didnt just lead womens Bible studies. She preached Jesus and people starting coming to Him.
The Lord is raising up daughters just like this woman. I see you having profound encounters with the Presence of the Holy Spirit, and out of those encounters you will be compelled to carry the news of this wonderful Jesus and His Kingdom into whatever sphere of influence you have been assigned to.
Consider the fruit of this womans preaching: Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the womans testimony ( John 4:39). Her testimony broke open an entire of community people to believe in Jesus! Dont tell me a woman cant preach!
Consider the women at the empty tomb of Jesus! The first people to herald the good news of Jesus resurrection were women. Matthew 28 records that Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to visit the tomb of Jesus. While there, they had a historic supernatural encounter. A great earthquake. An angel from Heaven descended. The stone was rolled away from the tomb. The guards were overwhelmed by the manifest Presence of Gods glory and fell as dead men. In the midst of these incredible supernatural manifestations, a commission was entrusted to the women present there (see Matt. 28:1-10; Luke 24:10). Consider what happened:
But the angel said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you (Matthew 28:5-7).
Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead! It was the voices of the daughters that first thundered the declaration that Jesus was risen.
This commission has never been revoked, daughter of God. May these words provoke you to announce and release the power of the resurrected Christ in whatever sphere Hes called you to.
I prophesy that the voice of the daughters will join with the voice of the sons. And as the church, the Ekkelsia of God, encompasses both the bold prophetic declarations and leadership of both men and women, Joels prophecy will come to fruition in an accelerated measure!
