Jake was a partier, constantly getting into fights, broke on the regular, occasionally selling drugs to get by, and working dead-end and odd jobs that were taking him nowhere.

At different times and in different waysand completely separatelywe woke up to the fact that if we wanted to change our lives and ourselves, it was up to us. We each took a risk. We decided to do something for ourselves, for our lives. To do something beyond what wed been taught to do. We took control of our lives and put our power to work for useven if we didnt exactly know what we were doing at the time. What happened next was beyond our wildest dreams.
