On October 29, 1948 my life began. My seasons were many. Some were filled with much sorrow and pain. After being rejected, betrayed, abused, and left for dead. I thought it was over. Although, I was three days from nowhere, the Lord rescued me. What the devil meant for evil, God turned it around for the good. I owe my life to Jesus. Because of His unfailing love, I am victorious.

Psalm 97:1112 ACKNOWLEDGMENTS Writing has been an exciting journey and one of my dreams, which I have had for over forty years. It has been only by the grace of God that I have lived long enough to see this dream come true. Throughout the years I have travelled many paths, and met many people. I have lived over half a century. Even at sixty-something, I still embrace life as it comes.

Never once did I think during my journey I have walked alone. It was only by the grace of God through the seasons I have lived that I became the woman I am today. From whom I was to whom I am, I owe all to Jesus. To my husband, Arthur: my deepest love and appreciation for your love and support over the years. To my daughter, Mimi: for your encouraging words as I wrote my stories. To my publishers, Sam and Tim Lowry: for once again believing in me.

I would like to thank my dear friends. To Susan Sorian, for your hard work and loyalty as I wrote this devotional journal. To photographer, Monica McEachern, and sketch artist, Timothy Mueller, for donating your talents. My heartfelt thanks to all of you. However, as it is written: What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceivedthe things God has prepared for those who love himthese are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit..

I Corinthians 2:910a MIRROR REFLECTION May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13 A brand new year, which has never been touchedhow exciting to think of all the possibilities that await us! Chapter after chapter wait to be written, doors wait to be openeda continuation of our journey, another year to glorify God. The Lord has a purpose for our lives. Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. We are all works in motion, earthen vessels, cracked pots: things God loves to use to glorify His name. Look in the mirror and see the reflection God sees in you. The Lord doesnt make mistakes.

We are winners, not losers; we are victors, not victims. We must prepare and equip ourselves this year with the Word of God, and let springs of living water flow in and through us. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Therefore, lets run our race with passion and run with desire. Live one day at a time and make each day count.

We are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Philippians 1:6 Hebrews 12:1 Romans 8:37b BEATITUDES Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. LIFE POINT This is a good time to examine our hearts: soul search.

A brand new year has begun and we are all at the starting gate. Now, its time to apply what weve learned from the Bible. Do not let the Word of God be read in vain. We have choiceswe dont have to settle for second best, we ought to strive for Gods best. Either we will apply or deny what the Word of God is teaching us. We should be honest with and checkmate ourselves, get down and dirty.

Its our lives, and we have but one life to live. Live it not for self, but for Christ. I dare you to see where God can take you. What are some things you need to work on this year? Write down your biggest challenge and pray as you begin this journey. In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.

Matthew 5:312 Psalm 5:3 NEW BEGINNINGS Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms.

He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone. Zechariah 10:1 We are at the starting gate, so lets be confident for God has a perfect plan for our lives. Destiny is not by chance or choiceit is Gods perfect timing. Today, lets begin to imagine greater, imagine the impossible, dream our dreams, and reach for the stars. God is in control, dont box God in and do not limit Him. For our God is more than enough.

Remember, the best is yet to come. Lets count our blessings for what is and be grateful for what was. Be forever thankful for the unfailing love and mercy of our Lord, for it was through His love we have become the women we are today. Take each challenge, like the seasons of the year, as an opportunity to grow. Count it all as a blessing through those seasons we can become a blessing to others as we glorify God. The harder the climb, the greater the victory! Thank you, Jesus, its so beautiful to be alive! SET GOALS Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
