The faerie seeker is invited to follow the sparkling pathway to Elf Land through the pages of Faeriecraft. The aim of this book is to reverse a trendthat the magical and spiritual pathway of Faeriecraft has traditionally been kept a mysterious and elusive secret. The authors passionately believe that the faeries are for everyone who seeks them. This inspirational version of Faeriecraft is shaped from the authors own experiences and concepts, which have been impressed upon her by the faeries themselves. Faeriecraft takes the fey seeker on a step-by-step guide on how to practice this craft, which is the creative melding of the faerie faith and natural witchcraft. Once faerie seekers have followed the exercises and insights throughout this book, they can emerge inspired to work with the faeries and have the knowledge and confidence to call themselves a faerie priest or priestess.

Faeriecraft brings us wonderful reminders of the
importance of connecting with the fairies and with
nature. The book is filled with excellent suggestions
for working, healing, and celebrating with the fairies.
The fairies are the environmentalist angels, and the
more that we believe in them, the more power they
have to clean up our world. Its my sincere prayer that
everyone who reads Faeriecraft will go to a park or
garden and get to know the fairies who live there.

Our queen and her elves come here anon.

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE,
A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM

The Faerie Rite; this is how it all began.

I remember the sweetest of scents on the night air as the maiden placed a bowl of honey on our faerie altar. The tree stump at the centre of our circle was covered in moss and decorated in chains of white frothy hawthorn flowers. This was the night of Beltaine, the night when the veil to the Land of Elphame draws thin. It was to be a one-off, never to be repeated before or since, because we would enter a realm so entrancing, so captivating and all-consuming that we would never need to go there again. We knew that faeries were the inner knowing within us, the secret places that we could not reach alone. We were about to be given our words worth.

The maiden took up the besom and as she began to sweep the circle of the woodland floor, I gasped as I saw tiny blue sparks, like electricity, flying off the broomstick. Spider, spider, what are you spinning? A cloak for a faerie, Im just beginning, the maiden sang as she swept and I could not keep my eyes from the broomstick that danced its sweeping way around our circle.

Once the circle had been prepared and cast, the Faerie Priest and I stood opposite one another. This was when I saw it: the beginning of the feeling that was never to end. We had both closed our eyes and as he invoked the Faerie King, the elfin magic that I shall never forget took us by the hands, drenching us in a star-spangled mind place. I invoked the Faerie Queen Mab and it was then that we partook of the indrinking spell of one another. We entered Faerie Land, the place of spiritual ecstasy and enrapture, where our existence and the place between the worlds kiss.
