In my business life I have found there is one golden rule of success. Do everything Anne Jirsch tells you. Anne is one of the most in demand, influential business advisors in the world, with good reason, her advice is always right and if followed to the letter it always gets results.
Paul Duddridge, TV and film director, producer, writer
Very few people actually know how to cope with change. It is one thing creating change, it is another when it is forced on us for fear that we will become irrelevant. Managing uncertainty, especially when it is you of our control is a mindset we all have to learn. This book will support the fearful and the excited ones. I congratulate Anne for her words and wisdom.
Penny Power OBE, director Social Power Ltd, founder The Business Cafe

What I really liked about Annes latest book is the powerful blend of hard scientific facts, case studies and fun practical exercises to experiment with and give you deep insights into what your future holds. Never has a time in history been both so exciting and uncertain, so the tools in this book are essential in your business and personal lives.
Giulia Buttery, Business and Government Strategist

Anne Jirsch has written a book for the future: how to live in the future, how to work in the future, and how to adapt now so that you can get there safely. Its a handbook for the 21st century, a guide for stimulating your inner genius while travelling the information superhighway. Very relatable, very readable, and totally useful.

INTRODUCTION
I want you to know something: whatever your career is, it will change. Because the world around you is changing so rapidly. Change is going to come whether you are a hairdresser or the CEO of a huge international company, an IT consultant, a nurse, caf owner or therapist. Your world of work will change, and if you do not anticipate that change you will slip backwards. I dont want to sound alarmist if anything Im often called Pollyanna after the little girl who saw good in every situation. But the truth is you cannot stay as you are, you cannot stay static. The key is to anticipate the future and stay ahead of the game.
Theres a saying: If you keep doing what you are doing, you will keep getting what you are getting. This phrase is no longer true. If you keep doing what you are doing, you will miss the boat and future opportunities. You will be phased out by new innovations. The world of work has never changed so rapidly, and most people are not ready for it.
In a relatively short space of time we have become connected to every corner of the world. We are dealing with people from every background you can imagine. Never before have we seen so many industries come and go. New innovations arrive by the week, trends change in the blink of an eye. The public has more choice now than ever before and you need to be the one who knows what they want.
We are overloaded with information. We are burning out, just at the point when we need to be at our very best to be innovative and to keep up with the times. Think back to your grandparents: they probably did one thing their entire life. Most people stayed in the same line of work for 30 or 40 years. Many stayed with the same company, and their day-to-day life didnt change. They didnt have the pressure to stay ahead, as we do.
My old gran would sit in her kitchen reading tea leaves. The locals would pop by, wanting to know their future. My granddad was an electrician. He worked for the electricity board his entire life. In his spare time he was a bit of a mad inventor. He motorized my mothers pram and he invented curtains that opened when it was light and shut when it got dark (incidentally, they also opened and closed every time a car went past, so that idea was binned). My point is, the dayto-day routine of what my own grandparents did (and your grandparents and probably your parents) stayed the same.
Fast forward to today. Unlike my gran, my intuitive work is global. My book The Future is Yours was based on my study of the world in 100 years time and pioneered the concept of Future Life Progression (FLP). It became a worldwide bestseller, attracting many people who wanted to glimpse their future, as well as those who wanted to train with me. Today, we have FLP practitioners in over 20 countries, and many of my clients come from the worlds of media, show business, sport, music, politics and business. I sit in my comfy office while wearing a headset and talking to clients globally via Zoom or FaceTime. I do webinars and have downloadable courses. Its no longer a case of people from two streets away crossing my palm with silver. Today, my clients come from many different countries, and we have credit card facilities and bank transfers. Even the way we use money has changed in the last 20 years, and is even now in the process of rapid change.
