Why would people with an eating disorder despise themselves ?

Those who disregard discipline despise themselves , but the one who heeds correction gains understanding. (Proverbs 15:32)

Ive hidden food and my fixation with food so that people know nothing about it. Is it possible to keep my unhealthy eating habits hidden from Gods sight ?

Nothing in all creation is hidden from Gods sight . Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:13)

Why do I feel like my appetite works against me and my hunger drives me?

The appetite of laborers works for them; their hunger drives them on. (Proverbs 16:26)

Is it to my benefit to heed instruction even when I dont feel like it?

Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the L ORD . (Proverbs 16:20)

What should be my purpose when I eat or drink or whatever I choose to do ?

Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do , do it all for the glory of God. (1 Cor. 10:31)

Dont I have the right to do whatever I want with my body its my own ?

Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own . (1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJV )

Can anything I put into my mouth defile my body?

What goes into someones mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them. (Matthew 15:11)

If God created everything good , why do I feel so bad when I eat certain foods?

Everything God created is good , and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving. (1 Timothy 4:4)

If my enemy is hungry or thirsty , is it wrong to help him?

If your enemy is hungry , feed him; if he is thirsty , give him something to drink. (Romans 12:20)

How can I know that the heavenly Father cares about my needs? Am I valuable to Him?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (Matthew 6:26)
