Confessions for
Every Area of Your Life
A mans stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life
are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat
its fruit.

Finally, I would like to thank Pastor Bridgette Hilliard! While she doesnt know me personally, it is because of her stirring up what God put inside of me that this first book is being published. After leaving a Women Who Win conference at New Light Christian Center in Houston, Texas, this book was birthed on the inside of me! Thank you (and Bishop) for your obedience to God in building the kingdom! I pray that you receive a hundredfold blessing because of your contribution to the Body!
In Genesis 1:1, the Bible tells us that God created the heavens and the earth. Following the creation, we see in Genesis that on seven different occasions, He gave a command that is recorded by God said. Each time God said, we also see that it was so! This was our first lesson in how to bring things into existence. We speak things into existence!
There are numerous scriptures in the Bible that tell us about saying or speaking something. What the Bible does not tell us is that if we work really hard, think about something, want a thing, or wish for a situation, it will come to pass. Lets take a look.
In Mark 11:2324, Jesus says, For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say unto you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. In this scripture, we see three things: you have to say something, there can be no doubt in your heart, and you have to believe that you will receive what you asked of God when you ask Him. While making confessions is very important, that alone will not bring your request to fruition. You cannot doubt in your heart; rather, you must believe.
Proverbs 18:20 tells us, A mans stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. In this verse from the book of wisdom, we see that you will get what you say! Here is the thing to keep in mind: you will get what you saygood or bad!
We know from John 4:24 that God is a Spirit. Moreover, in Numbers 23:19, the Bible tells us that God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Here we see that God will bring to pass those things that He says in His Word in the Spirit! What is done in the spirit then manifests in the natural!
The Bible teaches us that we consist of three parts: each of us is a spirit, has a soul, and lives in a body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). As mentioned, in John 4:24 God is a Spirit. Our spirits communicate in the spiritual realm. Only things of the spirit can operate in the spirit realm.
John 6:63 says, It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. Our words are spirit; they operate in the spirit realm. Job 22:28 says, Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee (KJV). Our words have power. They can dictate our daily situations. Because we have not been taught this biblical principle, we have spoken powerful words that have shaped our lives, and not necessarily for our good!
Moving forward, we have to make sure that the words we speak align themselves with the Words of God. Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:35, Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Jesus tells us that His Word will always come into existence! So, we should say what He says!
Let me rush to say this is not magic! I am certainly not suggesting that results pop out of mid-air! What I am suggesting, however, is that when we say what God says, our hearts, minds, and actions go to a different place of expectation! The more you say something, the more you believe it. Belief is faith! Jesus says in Matthew 17:20, For assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you!
